Xbox 360 Xbox Live Support stops tomorrow.... ain't gonna happen. Microsoft knows how many peps love and play on 360. But if others prefer Xbox 1, that's fine too. There are peps who appreciate how awesomeness Xbox 360 is. Sure Xbox 1 has better graphics,
but it's the games which Xbox 1 doesn't have like COD BO2, Halo Reach, A World of Keflings, etc etc, and the UI which doesn't scream Windows 8 all over it, and the higher active population, that keeps me playing more on 360.

Great news smileskybird, Xbox One will finally play Xbox 360 games, but that feature will be fully available around this holiday season (possibly around either November or December), so it may be a good time to trade in or sell your Xbox 360 and continue
your favorite Xbox 360 games on Xbox One, as long as the emulation works well.

If someone shoved a controller in my hand with the game running I could swear I was playing on an Xbox 360.

The problem is that Microsoft are having to get each game running individually and so that could mean that some games are never going to be backward compatible. I would really recommend people keep their 360 until they see the list of compatible games at
launch. That I think will give them a better idea if it is worth parting with their 360.

Hello "Lei Fang DOAX3", "Ragnarok5000", and "everyone"

I well be KEEPING my Xbox 360 slim console, I'm having a lot of fun with it. Microsoft is one of the biggest companies in the world who specialize in software/coding and they make operating systems for widely used PC's. You can even exchange voice messages
between Xbox 360 and Xbox 1. 80% of my friends don't even have an Xbox 1 at this stage. Microsoft IS capable of backwards compatibility for Xbox 1, they probably just didn't want to and said "No" but due to the Feedback, looks like they will be.

Everyone, let's hope that BC works out very well on Xbox One, I remember when the Xbox 360 has BC with Original Xbox games, out of 1,000 games released on there, only 476 of them will play on Xbox 360, most of them have minor to major issues when being played
on Xbox 360, but some of them played quite well on Xbox 360.

So yeah, keep your Xbox 360s until Microsoft takes full advantage of BC with Xbox One, have a blessing mourning Lei Fang, Vaynel, and Smileskybird.

So far, from what I've seen Rag, we have nothing to worry about. I'm playing through my BC games now and have yet to see ANY problem whatsoever. It's practically flawless.

Apart from mass effect who's save games don't work and both viva piñata games have issues if you check in preview there a massive list of issues with the games

If you havnt played either of them before 3 is the better game and will introduce Vaults lore much better. Leaving the vault for the first time in 3 is a truly epic gaming moment!

Do I think this trend will continue in 2017? No. There will always be a reduced number of cross platform games, but everyone will have jumped to Gen 8 by then. It'd surprise me if the remaining major publishers dropped earlier than this date - Ubisoft said
that they're not making any more Gen 7 games for instance.

Because it's still in its infancy. I can't think of any game in this generation or on previous ones that has (keyword) pushed the limits of what the hardware can do this early. Can you?

I wouldn't want to play, say, Black Flag (the developers themselves said that making this game run on 360 was a nightmare) or Advanced Warfare (pop-in textures all around) on 360 when those games were made with current gen in mind and merely downgraded to
fit last gen requirements.

But if you're ok with gimped games, be my guest.

I have the Xbox 1 Day One Edition console with Kinect because I was immature and thought it would be cool as Xbox 360 is. I too still play way more on my 360. 80% of my friends don't have an Xbox 1 right now and it has some games I love which aren't on Xbox
1. When 360 is retired, there will be no XBL multiplayer but you can still play single player games on it especially disc games.

Zoo Tycoon on X1 has multiplayer and Kinect Features. X360 has none of that due to hardware limitations. Minecraft has worlds 36x bigger and 1 second loading and saving times (ok, not quite 1 second, but it's super fast) and worlds load and draw furtherer
and faster. I to will never get rid of my Xbox 360 slim console. Games look better on Xbox 1 I brought Screamride for 360 and 1 and the graphics on 1 look much better especially the water detail the 360 version looks like it was drawn with a crayon where as
the 1 version looks 1080p high detailed. But Microsoft did such a great job with 360 that it isn't rocket science why many are still on it.
