    I have been having this issue for the last 2-3 weeks (only had xb1 for about a month). It does not happen all the time, but every once in a while when i close a snapped app, no buttons that I press register on the screen. If I am in the home screen, i can
    hold the home button to bring up the turn off controller/console prompts, but i can not move the sticks, nor press A on either of them, and at this point, I'm stuck. I have to hold the pwr button 5seconds to turn off the Xbox.

    I do not have the kinect for the xbox, so closing out of these snapped windows is done either by pressing B when in the snapped window (say in party, pressing B will close the window, maximizing the main window) or by pressing start (or whatever it is called)
    in the home screen and scrolling down to quit.

    I have noticed that if i close out from say the party while it is split screen with a game, I can continue to play the game as normal, but if i go to the home page, I can not move the cursor or click on anything, and end up having to force shutdown.

    Has anybody else had this issue? Any ideas on how to fix it (short of buying a $100 dollar kinect). Is Microsoft aware of this issue? It is a fatal flaw for their system with how they sold snapping apps/tv as such an integral part of the system. I am wondering
    if a kinect would remove the problem, but this would be absolute bs if Microsoft's solution to the problem was "Give us another hundred dollars so that your console works."

    Weird Input / App Lag Since Update

    Played Dragon Age last night, shut it down for the night. Turned her back on this morning to catch some TV this morning with my daughter. TV app stayed dark, though cable box was on. Did a hard reset. Upon reboot, after launching an app (any app) all input
    is ignored from any controller or the Xbox remote. After anywhere from 2-5 minutes, all of the input I've tapped in will suddenly activate. During that delay, I can hold the controller Xbox button to bring up the turn off console / controller screen but I
    can't select anything there. Subsequent resets / unplugging console leave me in the same lurch. Sigh.

    Xbox One Controller Shuts Off Whenit Mic Is Plugged In.

    When i plug in my xbox one mic into my controller the controller shuts off and will not turn on again as long as the mic is in it. Was working fine then while i was playing and talking to my friends it shut off and will not function as long a my mic is
    plugged in even a little. Any explination to this? Faulty controller or what?

    Since turning off Instant-On my apps have all been much more responsive and the console has been better in general.

    As far as turning it off goes, just either touch it briefly and wait about a minute for it all to shut down, or use the controller and still wait a minute or so for it all to shut down. Consoles are very similar to PCs in the sense that they cannot simply
    be shut off instantly, the OS has to close everything and shut down safely.

    When you say that after you close the snap/Twitch app are you just unsnapping it or are you closing the app completely? If you have to hard reset the console does that mean that other things are wrong after you close down (or unsnap) the Twitch app?

    Wheres the option to turn down or disable microphones.

    There should be a function on the mic that lets you turn it down. If your talking about the kinect there is no feature to turn that down since it play back through your tv.

    (PS) The mic has a volume up/down as well as a mute feature on the plug close to the controller bottom.

    Xbox one having trouble turning off.

    This is normal, it will take a while until it is complete shut down. Just like a PC, they also do not complete shut down when you give th command Turn Off.

    In this time it will Close all "Tasks" (Apps) or something else.

    When you hold Power Button you`re performing a Hard Reset (ColdReboot) this will clear the System-Cache.

    (Thats a way to workaround a lot of Problems if they occur)
