Closed microsoft account

There is a Microsoft e-mail account (Windows Live Hotmail) associated with your account, so you can't close your Windows Live account immediately. To close your Windows Live account, you need to close your Microsoft e-mail account first. After a period of

SO, I click on the close your microsoft account link (again) and it states this:

Is it possible to close the Xbox account without closing the Microsoft account?

You'll also want to make sure you don't currently have the automatic renewal option turned on. It may not be letting you close the account because that is still active.

You can turn that off by clicking "My Account" and following the directions on the auto-renewal page!

Oh man! That's no good! I'm afraid there's nothing that we could do here that the MSA teams wouldn't be able to do. If you have the account downloaded to a console and accessible, then you might be able to swap the email, but it's not sounding like you
do. Also, you'll want to make sure not to post private info in public Forums. Have they had you use this form?
