    Closed captioning problem


    I am trying to turn on closed captioning on my xbox 360. I was told to go to:

    Settings->System->console settings->Display->Closed captioning.



    I can see Display but I cannot see closed captioning. I have updated my console but I still cannot see closed captioning.



    What can I do? Any ideas?

    I have adjusted my Xbox settings to allow closed captioning per the official Xbox instructions. Yes, I hit save and exit. I also had a friend verify my settings appear to be correct. Yet, I still cannot get CC to appear right now. In general, I have not
    had problems with DVDs in the past. Attempting to watch Dexter Season 6 and no CC. There is a blurb on Dexter Season 6 - viewed onscreen - cautioning that DVD player and tv must be set up for captions to work. Xbox seems to be set up and not many options on
    Sharp LCD. Is this an obvious case of user error? Possibly related to how Dexter DVDs are coded? Any and all help appreciated.

    Blu-Ray Player doesn't display Closed Captions.

    Can someone perhaps verify this problem for me? Play a disc that only has closed-captions and not subtitles and see if you can get it to display the closed-captions, perhaps?

    I'm really discouraged that the only answer I've received so far is "turn on the closed captions feature" -- when I clearly explained that I'd already done that and it still wouldn't display closed-captions! Someone has to have an answer here...

    Hi, check your tv settings for something named Closed Captions or something similar and turn that off. Also check the closed captions option on the xbox itself.

    Netflix Xbox one, randomly turns on closed captioning.

    Go to : settings, closed captioning , the chose closed captioning "off" . By default it is set to "on" ... Hope this helps
