Close Windows XBox account linked to Microsoft account

As the others have said, all the xbox account data is tied to your microsoft account so there is no way to remove it unfortunately.

An Xbox account is the same as a Microsoft account. Your Microsoft account would include all the services such as Skype, Office, Outlook.com e-mail, Xbox, etc.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. You are not able to delete the Xbox portion of the account, as they are one and the same. It will be there for as long as you have the account, for example: you are topping playing games and such, in a
few years from now you want to come back you will have all the content you have owned up until now.
