    Clips > Saving, Sharing, etc


    Hello,

    My trial of Xbox Live Gold has expired.

    Problem (1) I have bags of storage available yet when I use the Upload app and view My Clips and try to Save them to my console it refuses to save them?

    Problem (2) I have checked my Privacy settings and ensured they allow Clips to be shared, yet none of My Clips are showing in my Activity Feed?

    Problem (3) The Upload Studio app insists I have an Xbox Live Gold membership to upload My Clips to my free OneDrive a/c. I just wanted to export a few videos from My Clips to Facebook and Twitter but apparently you need to export them to OneDrive first.
    Why force users to pay for a subscription just so they can do this?

    Are your privacy settings set to strict or anything? If so, it might be preventing you from saving your clips or sharing them.

    Screen shot feature in next update.

    It still should have been in from the start :OP

    But it will be one feature I will use a lot. As I'm sure many other people will be. Not everyone wants to mess about with video clips. A simple one click and jobs done. I just hope that the options for saving and sharing the screengrabs are just as good
    i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and to local storage (USB, removable Storage, NAS etc etc).

    As far as I'm aware it's a gold subscription privilege, so if you want to use these features your need to subscribe, although I could be wrong lol

    Are you seriously telling me Microsoft are forcing owners to subscribe to Xbox Live Gold just to be able to save clips to their own console hard drive, share clips in their own activity feed, etc?

    Upload Studio lets you edit and share your recorded gameplay clips with the Xbox Live community.

    How are you going to share clips with a community your not subscribed to?

    MS isn't forcing you to do anything.

    Alternative buy the kit that will allow you to do it without live, (live is cheaper short term, or for getting used to it)

    You can only share clips that have been saved/edited. If you simply record a clip, but do neither, than you can't share it. ;)
