    Clearing Xbox One Cache offline


    Do I HAVE TO BE online just to clear my Xbox One cache??? I left my older location for personal reasons and don't have wifi access currently at my location. I have tried multiple times to clear my cache with the unplug the brick and reboot method and it
    never works. Every time I do this method I get back to my dashboard and get the "local cache is full, you will no longer be able to save achievements message". I got so mad about this that I unhooked my Xbox One and boxed it up. I haven't played it in about
    two months

    Hello ,

    Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. In regards to this issue, you will need to connect to a WIFI connection in order to get the achievements resynced to Xbox Live and to clear up some space in the cache. The only way to get that space is to get connected,
    we understand that you do not have the means to connect to a Wi-Fi network but, in order to continue unlocking achievements you will need to get connected. If you don't have a router or modem you can try a hotspot just to get the data synced with the cloud
    data. The hotspot should be enough to get the data synced, if not, again we suggest getting to a location where you can connect to a Wi-Fi network.

    Thank you for the answer. For the time being i may just have to use my phones wifi hotspot and hope it doesn't use too much hotspot data. I only have 500mb of hotspot data monthly.

    I believe you do you have to be online to clear it because once you are connected online, it will make sure everything is cleared. If you are off-line it will clear it, but once you reconnect online it will pop back up.

    You are doing all the right things are you getting a message regarding cache or something leading you to think it is full? You may want to try to full power down and unplug for several minutes for the power brick to fully drain, even if you unplug it
    from the back of the console.
