    Ok so I have a problem with my game and I contacted activision. They said to
    clear the system cache on my console and redownloading any updates. If I clear system cache will it delete ALL of my game updates? Because if it does it will take a LONG time do the updates.

    I did this and lost my game save of red dead redemption had to start from the beginning again.

    Is it supposed to delete your saved games?

    No. Clearing cache should only delete what's in the cache. Nothing else.

    Clearing the system cache?...

    Clearing the cache does not delete game content. It just cleans up things in the hard drive that may be slowing down how the system works.

    You can clear the cache by heading the Settings>System>Storage then select the storage device(s) and press Y to access the options then choose Clear Cache.

    It says this on xbox 360 support : Clearing the cache does remove previously downloaded game updates. You must download these updates again the next time you play the game.

    So it does. However, I clear the cache on a regular basis and I have yet to redownload an update for a title.

    I do not think that this will cause deleting the updates and data related to games and other things.This will only delete useless things.

    It removes title updates, and in some cases gamerpictures that are unlocked through game progression. But they would be re unlocked once you play the game. It does not affect DLC, achievements.
