Clear gtk-rsu131 modem/router lagging

Hi guys my Clear gtk-rsu131 is lagging really bad. any ideas on how i can speed it up?

Why is bf3 lagging?

Im trying to find out why bf3 is lagging for me all of a sudden. I never had this problem. My Internet is running fine and my ports on the wireless router are open. It can't be the router because The game still lagged for me when it was plugged directly to the modem. What would be the problem? I cleared the cache also. And it only laggs with bf3, no other game.

 

Need help with xbox live

My xbox(s) have been messin up lately, The wireless one used to do this alot but now my hard wired one right to the router doesnt like connecting have the time even tho we have internet going.. i think there is issues with XBL period lately. Best bet man is unplug your router and modem, wait a min then plug just your modem.. let it turn on and go online, then plug in your router. reset ur box and see if it works

 

Have you tried to see if there's any towers down in your area? Did you contact Clear's customer service to verify that? I'm wondering if they're doing maintenance or are you at a peak time.

 

No it used to work fine. No lag but now I can barely get Netflix to work.it lags all through CoD and any other online game. it's lost power even though I have 4 bars. And customer support always says they are maintaining the tower since we bought it 2
years ago.

Appreciate if you can detailing out any troubleshooting steps you have tried so far, so we don't post up solutions that you have already tried.

Do you connect wireless, or wired with your console?

Two things:

1. Visit clear.com and make sure your router is up-to-date with the latest version of firmware.

2. Do a traceroute using you console and have us know the ms (millisecond), for the last 5 hops.

Here's how:

Go to Xbox Network settings. Select your connection type and press the following combo on your controller:

LT RT RT LT RB LB and select tracert.xbox.com

Traceroute is numers 13-17 startong at 13 going down is 265, 148, 228, 204, 152. And it is up to date.

 

Read my post all over again and this time, provide all the answers.

 

I have tried resetting it. Had clear reset from tower. Turned on UPnP.

Its hardwired. And its up to date.

Traceroute is numers last 5 are 13-17 starting at 13 ...265, 148, 228, 204, 152 being 17

Appreciate if you could give me the ms value for the first 12 hops as well.

Could you also visit speedtest and
pingtest and run a couple of test's and do a summarization of the average outcome from each test and post up the results (link).

I would also suggest that you try connect your console with a different Ethernet cable, if the one you're currently using has become defect and starting to degrade the electric signal inside of the cable.
