Use a soft lint-free cloth (microfiber cloths work great) dampened with a little bit of mild soap and water, or premoistened disinfectant wipes. Clean every 3-6 months or whenever needed.

I use Endust for electronics wipes.

Hi!

Only a microfiber cloth is used, without adding water or other liquids. An electrostatic cloth will remove the dust from the surface.

I'd use something small and pointy like a toothpick to get the dirt out of the joystick, then clean then clean the joysticks with a wet qtip (not too wet).
