Clean 360 games get dirty disc error

Clean the disc. Your Black 360 may have a dirty laser, so get a lens cleaning kit for a few bucks at RadioShack and run it through.

It doesn't give a code it just has a box pop up the says "Game Error, This disc is unreadable" then is say clean the disc and restart the system. the disc isn't dirty and this the only game that has said that

There is something I have never understood about people and that is, Why is it that whenever they get a disc read error message on their 360 or DVD player they always assume the worst? When at times it can be nothing more than a dirty lens or a dirty disc.

Several times on my 360 I have had it having trouble reading discs and all that was wrong with it was that either the disc was dirty or the lens was dirty. With my DVD lens cleaner it fixed my dirty lens in no time.

This error is a disc read error. A cyclic redundancy check (CRC) is an error reading the data from a disc. There could be a number of reasons for this:

• The data on the disc is corrupt (highly unlikely)
• The area of the disc being read is dirty or damaged
• Your PC DVD drive laser isn't working as it should or the diode is dirty

The main part of of MSF2020 can be installed on practically any drive, it does not need to be C:\. Mine is installed on my internal SSD F:\ drive.

Check the disc isn't dirty or damaged. If it's dirty clean it with a soft none-abrasive cloth.

if the disc is scratched or dirty, see if your local library has a disc cleaning service.

or try a local video game shop, they sometimes have a disc cleaning service (especially if they trade in 2nd hand games)
