Classic Playlist! Whats happened and Why?

So why can't i know access the Classic Playlist of seperate game types as before?

One of the main reasons i bought my second XboxOne, was to get the limited edition AW console, largely because whilst staying up to date with the COD franchise i could continue to play my favourite modes, awesome!

I don't like the exo games much, its nowehere near as accessible for an old fuddy duddy like me, so the classic playlist of free for all and tdm were a big continuing attraction, but now i have to wait forever for these game types to scroll round, and for
sopmeone who never did play or like search and destroy etc etc, thats very very tedious indeed.

Why have they done this?

Should they have done this?

Is it reversible or can i still get straight into a good old fashioned Classic non exo TDM somehow?

Can they legally just remove sections of a game like this, now that it no longer is the same, or as much a game, as how it was advertised to sell originally?

Really Peeved at this, to the point where i won't play it anymore now, and if the franchise continues to become a whizz bang jet pack space environment on earth type thing, thats us done i think.

Want to know what the settings of the Classic playlist will be. IE: Actual classic with no Sprint or Loadouts or AAs, Weapons on Map, Overshield and Camo on Map, regular (not 343-tarded) CTF settings etc. Is it available Day 1? If not, when?

343 refuses to say. Makes competitive and classic gamers tense. Sense another Bungie "Classic" playlist in the works.

Your post made me go check and confirm. Yes, all that is available in the Classic playlist is Classic Mosh Pit. Un-freakin believable. These guys are complete idiots. Never fixed the the match making, never fixed the tick rate. Broken game is still
broken.

 

I really don't see the legality in them removing game content and capabilities that we have paid for in the first place?

And annoyingly, having signed up and bought the season pass a couple of weeks ago, it looks like this £80/90 game, is gonna go largely unused!

What can we do?

 

Every single forum I go, I see people complaining about this, even in Activision's forums...

With so negative feedback, they'll get back to how it was... At least I hope so.

 

They will probably continously add and take away different gamemodes throughout the first year of this games life, as they do with all CoDs. If they add the newest map pack DLC, they have to take away another gamemode so they can use its place. Or something
to that effect. I think in the past it was hardcore modes getting the shaft and it seems classic modes are getting it this go around.

 

It's all about money and they saw that players want to play without exo suits more than with so thier forcing you to play thier way ( if someone doesn't like your product I bet you would do the same and force them to use it )

no i don't think i'd do that, all that would do is p155 people off as it has done here clearly. End result being, i won't trust them in the future and spend my money elsewhere.

If you saw an advert for a car, liked it, bought it, and a month later the dealer came back and took a wheel off because they now like trikes, would you have bought a car with just three wheels in the first place?

I won't trust activision anymore after this, its ridiculous, and ive no idea how they can legally do it?.

And it shouldn't have any connection to the DLC stuff, because its an extra that they have charged for all over again and seperately, its a new contract of purchase, that has no legal bearing on the initial purchase. They can't charge you for an extra but
justify removing content from you somewhere else, can they?

Any shop stock of the original game discs would also be misleading under trade descriptions act surely?, as the classic playlist only exist in a very different manner, and are by no means as accessible as first advertised.

i have boycott the game pretty since, and i expect others have not played it that much since either?

Is there some small print somewhere on the game disc cover or terms and conditions that explains that they retain the right to remove content as and when they feel like it?

i wouldn't know because i had the digital download, so no cover to read.

 

As I said before, it has happened as long as CoDs and multiplayer have been online. Traditionally when they add game modes (for trying out purposes or DLC add ons) they have taken away other game modes. Its nothing new. It will probably be cycled back into
the modes soon enough. Nothing you can do besides play the more popular game modes that always remain and are never replaced OR wait til the lesser played modes come back.

 

trouble is i don't think they will feel that they have taken it away in the first place, because they've shifted them into a "wait long enough and you might get a game you like dribble round kind of fashion!"

Try the Sledgehammer (or whichever developer made this edition) or CoD forums, nothing Xbone can do about it.

 

I've been playing cod games for a minute now. I played them because they were sick, different style then all the others. But then they drop this halo looking garbage on me. Whatever, they tried something new and it failed, whatever, they got classic maps
so I don't have to deal with this jet pack speed burst nonsense right. Now whats up, they took classic game modes away from the boys? Sometimes I don't have the 12 hours it takes to play a game of search of destroy let alone back to back. Who's idea was
this? Why was this even an idea in the first. Why you gotta do all the people who rode with you and supported you dirty like this? We don't want to play halo, we wanna play some cod on whatever *** playlist we want. Like did Robert Bowling just completely
stop paying attention to the community or what?

 

From what I heard, a leak from insider at Sledgehammer, they were trying to merge in the new maps into the game modes. I was surprised hearing so as it didn't take them long at all to start doing so and as they were doing it something went wrong and the
classic game modes had issues with. That's when they added the actual game modes inside one shot and all. So you could see a lot of game modes have been tampered with. It was also to my understanding that they will all be coming back shortly whenever everything
is fixed. I can not see Sledgehammer keeping them off, although they do want to rewrite CoD series clearly and change it all, they do listen to the gamers more then any other CoD companies. I personally think they will be adding more Classic game modes and
maybe that is why it was taken off. Maybe so when they are re added it will be a big surprise with all new modes?
