Classic gamertag revert

My original gamertag was “two inch arm”, I decided to keep my gamertag as that, but only change my classic. Yesterday, I tried reverting that WITH money, and it said there was an error, couldn’t change it. AND IT STILL CHARGED ME. I am so sick of this. Is xbox really going to make me pay 20 dollars for me to change to a random gamertag and then back to my original one? Smh... Wasted hours and 10 dollars for my gamertag to not even be changed. Wow

I doMt think you fully understand the new system

and you wouldn't have been charged for the second

If it says pending it means jt didnt go thru

The limit is 11 due to the 4 hashtag reserve

I was charged and all I want is for my gamertag to be the same in party and in game. How are you telling me that’s not possible?

No it’s not pending. I was charged for a gamertag error. “Please try you’re gamertag again”

I changed my gamertag to "tosya" thinking that it would be "tosya" in-game, but it's "tosya7641" instead. I thought that the number would only be for adding a friend etc. like how it is in Discord. I wasn't informed that I would not have the gamertag
i picked. If I knew that I would have picked a different gamertag. I want to either change only my classic gamertag without paying for a gamertag change, or revert to my old gamertag.

The only way to change it would be to pay for it again. Unfortunately.

You actually show as having a classic gamertag and a new gamertag. So some areas will still show the old gamertag (classic gamertag).

I'm trying to change my classic gamertag which is the one you see in games. My classic gamertag got changed and my Xbox One and Xbox App gamertag stayed the same (the Xbox One gamertag is the ones they added with the new gamertag system).

My Xbox One gamertag is different to my in-game gamertag and I want my classic gamertag to be changed. You can only change your classic gamertag on the Xbox One console, I have tried using the other ways and you can only change your Xbox Gamertag, not your
classic gamertag.

The reason I want to change my classic gamertag is that the classic gamertag can be fifteen characters and the Xbox One gamertag can only be 12 characters. If I use the other ways to change my gamertag it limits me to 12 characters and sets both my gamertags
to that.
