    Cisco: High latency on Xbox One, not sure why.


    Cisco (Modems/Gateways): High latency on Xbox One, not sure why.
    Super competitive gamer here, have been dropping from games for the past couple of days, been pretty bad today so far. Ran a speed test through my Xbox One and it says my network latency is at 262 ms ! I'm located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada . My router
    is a Cisco DPC3848V. I have 71.9 Mbps download , 12.49 Mbps upload, %27 packet loss. Also 1480 MTU (not sure if that is relevant). This high latency is really frustrating, any help would be greatly appreciated!

    The test on the xbox is apparently testing against a server in Seatle, USA which is why you are getting high latency.

    I am experiencing high latency as well. My latency was consistently 86 ms and now it is consistently 173ms. I am on a wired cat6 connection. >105 Mbps up and > 20 Mbps down. Reserved IP Address

    .Port forwarded. My NAT type is open. I live in Virginia and have Comcast internet. I am using a cisco XB3 3939 Gateway router. Can Anyone tell me how to find out what server my xbox one is trying to connect to and anyway to reduce my latency? . thanks

    Well every game I get put into is 80-100ms latency. So I’m just curious why the Xbox latency is still that high.
