I said that it thinks it is wired and I've been using mobile data on windows 10 and the xbox one can't connect to no networks if it is plugged through LAN.

  2. I am quite afraid to do a soft reset because people say that it caused a bigger issue and if I do that and it still doesn't work than I am screwed so I am not doing that because I am pretty sure you need to be logged in to play games and I won't be able
to sync if it doesn't work. If I do a soft reset and if it makes it worst than I want a free repair since it would be on your guys hand.

    Cincinnati Bell: Connecting online

    I recommend
    port forwarding.
If unable to do thru the website you can call your Internet Provider and have them walk you thru port forwarding you will need 2 things

    1. Go to Settings>network>network settings>advanced settings> write down the IPv4 address

    2. you need the ports for Xbox which are listed here
    Ports for router
    .

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks
