    Hello,

    I'm playing a lot of backward compatible games and I notice in quite a few of them, videos run very badly. Just two examples:

    - Dragon Age Origins

    Videos stops every other second, making it hard to follow what is happening

    - Psychonauts

    Videos don't really run at all, the same voice sample keeps repeating over and over

    On top of that, in the case of Psychonauts, these problems persist in the game itself. You walk for a bit, then the game hangs completely, video and audio, making it unplayable, which is really unfortunate.

    Is there a way to maybe clear the cache or some hidden option to make the videos play better or make Psychonauts playable?

    Thank you for your suggestions. I resolved the issue and here is how I did it, in case someone else has the same problem.

    Turns out, after moving the game from one external hard drive to another, the stuttering was completely gone. The only possible conclusion is that either the hard drive or the case are the problem (I will test this further).

    Which is weird, because I have been playing games from this external hard drive for many months and all the games worked fine. Psychonauts was the first game with issues and also the first game to be completely unplayable.

    Try performing a power cycle on your Xbox console.

    Here’s how:

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xboxbutton on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.
    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xboxbutton on
      your controller.

    Thank you for replying back. In regards to this issue, you may have to try uninstalling and reinstalling the games. If that doesn't work you may have to try a
    Soft Factory Reset (Keep Games & Apps) of the console to try and remedy the issue.
