Choosing the Best TV?

I have never knew it was so hard to figure out what TV's are good or not until I started looking around for one. I am not a very TV-Techy person and I am looking for the best picture for gaming at a good deal/sale price $100-$250? Size is not as much of
a priority since I am playing in my room at a desk. I do not care about the size as much as the picture (anything 20" + is fine, but the bigger the better) I know I want my TV to be 1080p since that is recommend for xbox one games.

Now that I am looking at TV's and reading reviews I find that every time I think I see a good deal I find that some TV's are labeled/titled 1080p when they actually mean it supports 1080p signal but compresses it down to 720. Some manufacturers actually use
a cheaper display panel and rip you off. There are back lit TV's, LED lit TV's and it is all overwhelming! and looking at TV's I am not sure which ones are good or not!

I guess what I want, is someone to "approve" or recommend any TV's for me that would be good. Also, if anyone knows a lot about TV's, can you look at some of the TV's I am looking at and tell me why they look to be a good deal and what is secretly bad about
them?

(Sorry for how many times I said "TV" in this post lol)

Help choosing the best router please

Hello, I am trying to find a good fast affordable router. Looking to spend 100 at the very most and I was having a toss up between the D-Link DIR-655 or the Lynksys E3000. I was just wanting to know some oppinions about these and if these are the best i
can do for 100 or is there anything better out there? I have had great experience in the past with lynksys but i am open to changing if it is worth it.

The two main things i use the router for is playing battlefield 3 on my wired computer and using xbox live wirelessly for playing games and netflix.

I have a DSL connection and I have bridged my modem if that matters.

my wirelessdevices are:

4 computers (1wired, 3 wireless)

2 xbox 360's (wireless)

1 Wii (wireless)

1iPhone

1 iPod

AT&T signal booster (wired)

and a camera security system to post the video online (Wired)

these routers for best results.

 

Have you considered using a PC monitor?

 

I was just about to buy one but I can save my money now!!!!!! I WILL BE ABLE TO PLAY USING MY LAPTOP SCREEN WITH WINDOWS 10!!!!!!!1 =)

I am so excited!

 

I just hope there is no delay and the refresh is decent!

TV prices have come down a lot over the past couple of years so you should quite easily be able to pick up an excellent spec TV within your budget.

 

The top HDTV set for the Xbox One are Samsung's Line of Series 6 & above. They begin around $328-350 for a 28-32" set NOW. Back then my 5 Series 32" 1080P 2 HDMI 60Hz was $798 go figure!

Also I would go with LED/OLED or LCD not plasma. As long as you arent expecting anything bigger then 38-40" then it shouldnt cost no more then $300-400. If you want small like 26" or less of course $198-249.00.

I would recommend 1080P/4K support, high refresh rate 120Hz-240Hz, LED, only Samsung brand no knockoffs they have far superor contrast, color depth, clarity, true reproduction of brillant colors etc. a lot of which is not factored into a "general" review
or suggestion or comparison of HDTVs but Samsung has a boatload of proprietary programs/features built into their HDTVs that do things like produce darker black levels, or less glare, and they all have "video game mode" built into them you can turn on and
off so you can play at 60FPS buttery smooth COD without hickups or stutters....good luck let me know what you settle on...

with all the cool features of xbox devices now being able to conect to cable tv radio and all sorts of other apps why dont they just come out with their own tv includeing all the xbox stuff built in uping the gig drives to major TB QUANTITIES kinect built
in with some quality sound systemsincludeing the touch screening features and voice control remember the old box tv not the glass bubble things but the ones that actualy looked like a mini movie theator panel taking out all the guts and putting in a flat screen
and we could actualy pack it full of drive space a computor tower and even a printer radio and all kind of device readers including the old tape casset stuff and ports out the wazoo for what ever transitioning i mean could you imagin actualy being able to
go back to playing vhs and 8 tracks and even haveing a record player on top dam near making it the one stop theator system thats actualy the all in one device have somthing on vhs or 8 tracks that they dont got tranfer it into the system even if its a tape
or record and do whatever it sounds cool to me but im not exactly all that teck savy i just got some good ideas like games that actualy help clean your system?instead of the simple window apps the game actualy assigns the error issue to a charactor so you
kick its butt litteraly got junk?kill it off and actualy deck your apps out like a house in a 3d gameing world or some other 3d positioning instead of the old flat desktop shortcut tag icons or the now old win 8 slider window since gaming images seem to go
so much faster than the windows apps and along with all that possible space we definatly need a processor thats fast enough to zip through it all in split seconds unlike the standard coms that got more space than the processor can read thats where the slow
stuff comes from major space with a tiny little old procesor means it takes longer to actualy read especialy if you got some slow mo virus allowing the hacker to see everything get in and out before your antivirus program could even scan it but upping the
processors biger than the space you got means blink and its donemore than 100 times talking flash electricity being able to act like electricity instead of acting like a half blind old folggy crawling pulling out stencil windows that aint even all together
till some half hour later i hate those when your com is about empty and its crawling but yet at the same time you know youve had it packed full before and itstill flew like a thousand times faster this is when you know something screwy is going on like someone
is changeing the response time of a window opening so it seems like your com is slow while someone else is ziping around in the background digging info and giveing you false info this is about like just changeing the pages in the folders to produce an image
oposed to what would origanaly show up making it seem like we think faster than a computor or move faster than electricity when half of us cant even memorize one portion of a file name or figure out what the acronym stands for and much less even know how to
open it or figure out how to veiw it more than its name but then again what if awesome gameing actualy helps fix those issues defraging and cleaning viruses issues by playing a virtual game seems cool blocking their slow motioning and file digging with some
better teck hacking creators could be like the online gameing where you got teams destroying the enemy instead of feeling like some lone coyote or lone rabbit turtle snail trying to fight off some giant playing mind games on you and your system so consider
all this and let the microsoft xbox peeps know what you think if it sounds awesome spread the word and lets see what we can get done

 

oh and why it might help better is because the gameing images would be tougher to change than someone taking a snapshot of the window program and changeing out the flat image in the folder of your program perhaps boggiing half the would be bad hackers with
the question of how the hell to copy the images to respond the way they want being way more than just a snapshot image trade out of whats in the folder for that cleaner program you was trying to run boggle the mind a little more and the chances of being cleaner
likely gets better to ease the tecknicians load of whose crap needs fixed to block some butthead hacker

i got a hisense tv with a toshiba satalite c55-and my xbox 360 which only came with the red white yello cord instead of the standard cable connection which would be better for connecting a vcr or dvd device when wanting to record the game experiance or action
i done it before but i also got an action teck wifi to tv thing and havent been able to get it to work with either the pc or the xbox would be cool though but i was just gonna say also that im kinda confused for why sometimes when runing image programs that
it acts like it has to steal processor space from the audio output or the other way around sine a screen is only so big it has a maximum data space allotment and the audio had a certain max of what it can play and then theres the backgrounding data processor
space which should mean that neither should have to steal processor space from one another which is why i have trouble understanding why it dont go smoother for both since the image space is only yae big and the speakers are only yae big and whatevers left
for the background stuff should only be yae big and whatever is not done yet or goes over those amount should be qued in a list for automateing the background stuff and avoideing the interuptions thats what we need somehelp with setting the limits to avoide
the interuptions so it goes smoother without acting like it has to steal processor space to make up for the other device to run cause whats audio is audio whats screen image is screen image and whats background is background and what goes over the background
is qued for waiting makes it a 3 teir procession system which should mean smoother running i also have 3 different connection points two wifi and one ether cable for the network connections like that 3 teir system i would prefure meaning there should be more
ability to flow better setting image stuff through one sound stuff through another and background stuff on its own port just as the red white yello cords kinda like more phones make it better for more people to be able to answer your calls thats in a sense
more processors means you get more done for more people than one alone so maybe if microsoft and xbox goes together on making their all in one system it could include this kinda safe guarding for the flows to go smoother and maybe they can help me with my
other system after grasping the idea a little fuller for the parts i dont understand but i hope you enjoy it let them know what you think
