Choose a Game for Free – Sept. 7 – 13 !!!!!!

I got my choice of a free game, when I bought mine. Lol. I picked Titanfall. = )

 

I bought a Wii U the other day. I got it for 279.99 with 4 games and a 50 euro card for the shop. I don't think any early Wii U adopters are complaining.

Why should X1 owners? I've been playing it for nearly a year.

 

Even if they lowered the price & offered 2 free games I wouldn't have any regret. Even when I think about how the console has changed since launch with all the updates I still don't feel bad. It is just getting to the point where MS needs to entice gamers
to upgrade from 360 or finally make a plunge.

I wouldn't take away all the fun I had playing Dead Rising, Ryse, Killer Instinct, Forza, Titanfall and various other games on the next Gen Xbox the past 9 months.

I do think any Bungie fans who haven't made a decision on going next Gen should pick up the $400 console & Destiny over getting the $450 PS4.

 

Im still waiting for a BattleFront console. So I might get an X1 in 2016. I kind of figured the first year was going to be full of RE-releases(that I probably already have on Steam) mixed in with a few new AAA games. By the time I actually want an Xbox One
there should be some killer deals.

I still can't believe people are still complaining about this.

If a new car comes to the market and I buy it on day one, I know that if I waited it would come down in price, a few extra's thrown in for free.

Go into a supermarket today and buy 420 Tea Bags, chances are there will be an offer next week and get 20% extra for "free"

The list goes on and on here but again I'm struggling why people are so upset, maybe it's because it's Microsoft and people love to jump on the "lets hate them" bandwagon?

Oh well, as the OP said, they have learnt their lesson and won't do it again ( hopefully/maybe ) .. ;-p

 

Deacon, can they just make a Boo Hoo!! section of the forums where people can go to make threads on this stuff? Every single time a sale or free game or special edition comes out so do the winers.

I jumped into the Xbox 360 when it first came out (yes, I still have the white 20 GB HDD version) and I wasn't complaining when the other iterations of the Xbox 360 were released. I adapted by purchasing Flash Drives

Long story short, better deals come out the longer that you wait to get a new console.

A question that I have to the OP,

Ok it seems they are not happy so if they had waited until now and got the console cheaper, choice of free game, would they remain happy?

What I mean is, so ok they get their choice of game, what happens in 6 months from now and the console comes down in price again, maybe Microsoft will offer 2 free games, will they come back complaining that they only got 1 free game?

Want the best prices, offers possible then people need to wait, want a new product "day one" then you will pay the highest price.

I for one am glad that there is a Sunset Overdrive Xbox One bundle coming out and I am not angry at all that I got the regular Kinectless bundle instead of that one.

I understand that everyone wants value, but like I said before...

I will still be an early adopter and these kinds of things are not a big deal to me. But many people need to realize that these things happen. And early on there are really not many games to play. I remember early with the 360. Still played a ton of
my original Xbox. Same here. Just not a lot of reason to play the One really. Most of the experiences were very similar on 360 since they were available there as well. Titanfall, for example, I played it on PC, One, and 360. It came with my One and pretty
much the same. Ryse was not really amazing but decent. It is just how it is and always will be.

I agree with you 100% in regards to the fact that when a console first comes out, there aren't that many great games yet because they (the great games) usually start rolling out a year after launch.

However, I would like to note that the Original Xbox had the greatest selection of games when it was launched because other than Halo Combat Evolved, you had amazing titles like Mech Assault (just to name a few).

I don't see why people complain about a free game. A lot of Xbox One buyers got a free game when they got their Xbox One, just depending on what one they got. It's just one game anyways, is it really worth complaining over?

 

Unless they have a vested interest in the sucess of the X1. Earley adapters should complain.

Wouldnt it you guys that had (forced) to spend 100 bucks extra for kinect, only to learn a few months down the road that with it,, (or we learned since then that even without it) the x1 cant *walk and chew gum at the same time'? (figure of speech) or *Time
slice* for those in the know.

This, and other examples (DDE/Sparkling internal power supplies/RROD for 8gb original xbox, and the xbox 360) Is why I personally will not buy the 1st, and in some cases, the 2nd or even 3rd production runs of any MS product, including windows.

In the case of the X1. I can/will wait untill a Slim model comes out before even thinking of purchasing One.
