Chime sound missing again from Tri-Peaks

After installing the most recent Microsoft updates (and also checking for app updates), the chime sound is gone again...but this time only from Tri-Peaks. The card shuffling sound is still there, so again it's just an issue with the chime.

Any update on the sound problems with MS Solitaite Collection?

Thanks, but that didn't make any difference. I still have stuttering animations and missing sounds in Tri-Peaks.

A sound problem in Tri Peaks and Pyramid

I am running this program in Windows 8 on an HP desktop. All of the sound on the whole computer works great except some of the sound in Tri Peaks and Pyramid.

The card flips work OK but the chime that sounds in ascending frequency as I make matches and the chimes when I achieve a bonus. There is no sound at all in those places. It initially worked when I firs got the programs when the PC was new.

Ideas? Is this a Windows or PC problem? What is unique about the sound in those situations. Like I said, all other sound works fine.

Are you using the Windows 8.1 test version? Some players have reported issues with this. If not, we would recommend reinstalling the game. Let us know if anything changes, thank you!

I have also not been getting the chiming sounds since upgrading to 8.1. The card shuffling sounds are normal, but the chimes are silent. My option to roll back drivers is greyed out and there are no new sound driver updates available. On extremely rare occasions,
I'll get a single chime, but then it's back to the silence again. It thus seems like the chime sounds are still possible, but just not happening.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app since it didn't seem like my apps were getting updated. I'm still not convinced that I have the new update as I don't notice anything different about the app once it was reinstalled. I never had any issues
with graphics.

I am using an Asus VivoBook with a touch screen.

I have this problem too. Dell XPS12 (Intel HD4000) In Windows 8, Tri-Peaks animations were fine but it regularly locked up the entire PC. In Windows 8.1 Preview, the card animations in Tri-Peaks are extremely jerky and most of the sounds are missing.
My old laptop with an NVidia GTX260M has no problems.

Most likely an Intel driver problem. Real shame because this is a great solitaire suite and I can't play it on my new tablet.
