Child's Profile Name Above GamerTag

Hello,

I have an XBox One S and I set up 2 child accounts. Everything worked fine and somehow when I was updating (possibly) payment info, I changed the account name that shows up above the GamerTag to my name. I can't seem to find anywhere where it allows me
to edit that account name that shows up above the GamerTag back to my Child's name. I thought maybe I could just do it online in his account info, but it still shows up on the Xbox with my name above the tag. Does anyone know an easy way to edit this name?

Go to
account.microsoft.com and sign in to the Microsoft account you want to update.
Select Edit profile, and then make the changes needed to update your information.

No, you can not make your offline profile into a Gamertag. This is because it's a child account as you stated above. If it is not a child account, you can follow these steps here:

If he's on a child account, you would have to create a new account. It's not possible to upgrade an offline child account to an online account.

Otherwise, you would follow these instructions -

Are you trying to change just the gamertag name? If so, just remember that if you do free up the actual name associated with your gamertag, it can take years for it to become available for use. If you want to just use your existing xbox live profile on
your new console, then as listed above you can download your gamertag using your existing windows live ID credentials associated with that gamertag. Good luck to you!
