Child's address

I 100% understand your concern here. As a mother myself, my child's security is definitely top priority. The unfortunate side is that the billing information is required to be able to use billing features on our service. We do not use this information to
sell to other companies, and you can see what all we do with your information within our
Privacy Statement (if you are so inclined to read some legal jargon ).

We can't help out with billing issues here on our forums, but I want to help you the best we can. What I suggest doing is

calling up support specifically (not using chat) by clicking on the link there, and ask them if they are able to cancel the currency on your son's account and provide tokens to put on your account to make the purchases. From there, you will be able to use
the Home console feature to share the licenses for whatever you purchase. If they can't help you out, I want you to post back in here for us so that we can look into our other options. We have to go through this process first to ensure everything has been
done from phone's side before we can go through our forums processes. Be sure to grab any reference numbers from your call before you end the call. This helps us immeasurably.

I get that you spent some money for some Xbox currency that you can't currently use. It's like throwing money out the window, basically, and we don't want you to feel that way. Keep us updated on what phone support is able to do for you! Hopefully this ends
up being a quick fix.

When the Xbox asks for the email address connected to the child account put in the parents email address/password instead and it will work (parents email address being the one used to verify the child's account when it was first created or to accept changes
to the child account), I think this only happens when the parent email address is not the same as the primary account holders email address. I have just had this problem tonight. Xbox support told me of this and it worked first time

You are fine if you have to remove a child account. We had to do that to update our child's email address.

Yes, sorry I never posted. Can't remember the exact steps. Have to login on the MS website with the child email address.

This will be the email address they use for MS. They are a child account registered against an adult but they still have an individual email address. Login with that, should be able to find their subscriptions from there.

Keep this in mind if you are doing this because you originally used your email address and want to change it AND the email address is a MS server email (Hotmail, outlook, MSN, live) email address if you change it and remove that email from the account
you will NO LONGER have access to that email it will be deleted from the system and you will not be able to get it back.
