Childs accounts are visible at the microsoft family, but not at xbox family

Things have only changed from bad to worse for me.

Please note i am asking assistence for the Windows 10 version of Xbox. I do NOT own a Xbox. I assumed this would be clear because Microsoft customer care send me to this forum after i called them. Now i somehow doubt that.

The only thing that changed for me is that my Xbox account now shows the message "Vanwege je gedrag in het verleden kan je je profiel niet bewerken" (dutch) wich i would translate into "due to past behaviour you can not change your profile".

Never seen that message before and i am highly amazed by it. No idea what could have caused it because i never play online with an xbox account. Look into my account and you will see some activity from my Lumia phones at the most !!!

Fact is i have paid 30 euro's for 3x Minecraft Windows 10 edition. My boys want to play it online with eachother, friends and me. Fact is that this is totally not working due to totally un announced causes. The boys are 11 and 9. I beleive this is well within
the advertised age for that game.

I am getting annoyed by having to call the help-desk and things like this forum for gettig a kids game to work that should do so "out of the box".

Microsoft is a company i hold in high regard but this is really disappointing.

Please fix this for me or i will file an official complaint and/or ask my money back.

Sorry to see any issues still! I get that you're having issues solely on Windows 10. All the parents in here are reporting their issue because of that one common factor.

The error you are receiving might be related to Microsoft Account rather than an Xbox Account issue. Go ahead and try out
this link. It will ask for a phone number for your account, send you a text with a verification code, and then bring you to the Microsoft Account page. This should stop that message from
appearing.

Let me know how it goes. We will want to dig further if that doesn't help you out.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem

Parent GT = (works correctly, applied to windows family and xbox family)

Parent GT = Fantomime (works correctly, applied to windows family and xbox family)

Child GT = ShutBubbles1867 (works correctly, applied to windows family and xbox family)

Child GT = RiverPainter782 (Does not work - only attached to windows, not xbox)

I have exactly the same problem, I added my children to microsoft family but they are not in xbox, They are looking forward to play minecraft with more free settings but right now I can't do anything for them :-( How can I fix this?

Thanks again for testing that out with me, guys. That helps a lot.

We did some more testing. Do your kids already have Xbox Accounts assigned to their Microsoft Accounts? For example, when you sign in with your child's account on xbox.com, does it prompt you to create an account, or does it show a gamertag at the top right?
If it shows your child's name at the top right, please click on it and then click
Xbox Settings. From there, it should prompt you to create their account for Xbox (including attaching your parent account to it). That should solve this problem, but
only if they don't have a gamertag assigned to their Microsoft Accounts.

If they already have gamertags, can you please post back with those gamertags? We'd like to look into them further and then determine what steps we have to take then.

Hello, I have this same problem (no xbox console, and child who wants to play Minecraft with his cousin). Parent gamertag is and child gamertag is WedgedJuggler68. Please help resolve the issue.

Is there anything I can do to help raise the priority of getting this fixed? It seems like MS might want to avoid such a large roadblock to Xbox-mobile platform adoption. I'm not happy about posting a child's gamertag information in an open forum like this,
but do not see an alternative, as the chat support could not provide any help on the issue

Hi Misses Quinzel (or whoever),

I've had exactly the same issue. I see the kids in my Microsoft Family but not Xbox Family and we are not Xbox owners. Chat Support were helpful last night but clearly had no idea about this issue and tried to tell me it was specific to the two iPads my
kids use (obviously it's not as the issue happens on my Android phone too).

This post is from the parent account (gamertag '') and my two kids gamertags are 'oongybear' and 'babypenguin116'. Hope someone sees this and can help!
