Child's account verification not possible on xbox.com

I've create a child's account on account.live.com and "linked" it to my account (including the $0.50 credit card verification).

When we go to xbox.com, the child can log in and is asked for parent's consent and a parent to log in. After I correctly enter my login/password the login page refreshes (without any error) and I'm asked to login again - it's a loop we cannot move forward
from.

When we try to download child's profile on the console (Xbox 360) I'm being told that the profile does not exist.

When we try to create a Xbox Live profile on xbox 360 - I'm asked to go to xbox.com to register because it's a child (and there is the loop).

Solution 1: Make sure that you are using the right Microsoft account

I'm having the exact same problem. When I go to xbox.com and sign in with the child account attached to the parent account, it asks me to sign in with the parent account. Which I do, but it enters a logon loop as SpilledDruid described above. I've verified
that I can logon with the parent account just fine elsewhere, and the Basic Info on both accounts matches. Tried in three different browsers, on two different computers.

 

My problem was solved. As it turns out, I found that two-factor authentication has to be off in order for this to work properly. It will simply present the login loop if two-factor authentication is present on the parent account. Seems this might be similar
to the TOS acceptance problem a while back.

 

Torgun, I haven't tried that yet... but I do use two-factor authentication.
