    Children's Consent List

Hello. I cant find the answers to this anywhere. And contacting xbox just kept redirecting me to fake virtual people. How can I add apps and games that i will allow on my child's account, such as Netflix, so i don't have to keep putting the password in
every time they want to use it? It lets me add web addresses and block web addresses but nowhere for apps or games. Any help would be appreciated Children's Consent List :) Thank you.

    :)

Problem with signing in on my xbox account

    Hi,

Since the new terms of use came out I cannot sign in anymore because apperantly I have a 'children's account' that requires to use my parent's email consent to accept the new terms of use, but my parents dont use that email anymore. So my question is, how
do I remove this feature? I'm 20 years old but we signed up when i was 15, but shouldn't it have long disappeared?

    Thanks

    / Kim

    Hey Donna,

Thank you for posting on the forums today! I'd be happy to help.

All the information that you will need to set up content restrictions and screen times if you'd like can be found here:

You can set this up online at
    account.microsoft.com/family
or directly from your Xbox One. Directions on how to do so can be found on the link provided above.

I hope this information is helpful!

Hello. Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, it didn't really help. I read everything and blocking apps and games seems to be the only thing i can do. I have gone into my account, gone to family and even though it has told me what he has been on etc,
it will only let me block them. It doesn't give me the option to allow the ones i want to let him use freely such as Netflix without needing my permission. When i put in the password on his xbox to allow him access, it only gives me the option to allow him
to watch it just that once, thus rendering me needing to constantly put the password in for him when he decides he want to go back on it later. What i'm after is a way to add these apps and games to the allow list like you can with web addresses. It does have
a section that states.....When you allow games or apps, they will show up here......yet ive found no way of adding them. Every time i try searching or asking that virtual helper, all i get is the same thing, telling me how to block apps etc. This i can do
fine. I'm just not getting the add to the list of allowed apps which is what i'm after. Thank you for your time Children's Consent List :)

    Hey Donna,

I believe there is a way to add games and apps into an "Always Allow" List. That list is found under "Content restrictions" when you select your child's account from the family section of the website.

The way it's listed on the support page says it first has to be a blocked game or app, and when your child tries to access it, you can approve it and then add it to the "Always Allow" list. I'm not sure if you can add the apps or games you want to always
allow without first blocking them, but that should be the workaround if you cannot simply add apps or games to the list under "Content Restrictions" if does not allow you to do so without first blocking that specific app and then approving it. It should send
you an email when your child tries to access the blocked app to approve it and then you should be given instructions or an option to then add it to the "Always Allow" list.

There is a setting to require a password upon signing but I'm not familiar with needing to put in a password every time the child wants to use an app. Is the password requirement when the child is signing in? You can change that setting from Account>Sign-In,
Security, & passkey>Change my sign in & security settings.

I need help: adding a child profile

Please note that Microsoft and Xbox Live comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) regarding online account creation for children under age 13. COPPA requires that prior to gathering personal information from a child (under age 13),
providers of online services obtain verifiable consent from the child’s parent. The most common method allowed by COPPA for obtaining parental consent is charging a small amount to the parent’s credit card. We charge 50 cents for this verification. These charges
    aren’t refundable.

    Hi xbox

sorry it took me so long to write back

When my dad tries to fix my birthday with the info you have provided it says this

" In the United States and South Korea, legislation requires that children have adult consent before creating an online account. You can use this page to manage the child accounts for which you provided consent"

So how do we provide consent

    Thanks for the help
