Children can't play games I bought.

I recently bought a few games off of the Xbox store, and now now my children's accounts cannot play the games unless I am signed in. Shouldn't anyone on the console I bought the game on be able to play it? Every time they go to play, it says the owner of
the game must sign in.

You should be able to play it. Can you go to Sign in to your Microsoft account and confirm that you see your game there in the list. If it's there try removing game from Xbox
and installing it again.

You need to set the console as your Home Xbox, after which any account on the console will be able to play your games.

Sign into your profile (and make sure it's the only signed in), then go to Settings and you can toggle the setting there for Home Xbox. Note: you can only change your Home Xbox designation three times in a 12-month period.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to deal with this issue. I can totally understand how this could be pretty disheartening and concerning a problem to deal with. If you had redeemed the game appropriately, then it would be on your order
history as well. If it's not on your account, then you would have to purchase it or play it off an account that does have the rights. I would suggest

removing and redownloading your profile just incase the console is not recognizing your license information correctly.
