Pretty much what i wrote above. We play on series x, I have set up a family account and added my kids and for now removed all restrictions but still minecraft tells them that online is not allowed in settings.

As soon as the log my account in, they can play online on their accounts.

Is it because we have 2 xboxes and their xbox is not the home xbox?

I'm really going nuts about this, I've tried so many things but nothing works

    Hello!

Hope you are well. I'll be glad to assist you.

I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

The problem appears to be an issue related to the Game Pass subscription required to play online games on consoles.

The account that currently has the subscription must be set to “Home Xbox” so that other accounts can use it from that console.

You can only set up one console as “Home Xbox” at a time and remember that you are not allowed to set it up on a console that does not belong to the same household.

I hope the information has been clear, I will be attentive to any questions you may have.

    Best Regards.

Thanks, but that is no solution to my problem since the xbox my son has in his room is not the home xbox therefor the account with the gamepass subscription is in another room.

I really need to solve this since I can't be logged in on my xbox when he plays minecraft.

Can he have his own gamepass subscription to solve this problem?

    /Daniel

XBox LIVE Shut Down For Gambling?

I totally monitor every aspect of my children's gaming habits. Online purchases are restricted unless authorised by my wife or I and we do not let them talk online unless it's to a real life friend. Even when they play Minecraft with people they don't know
I sit and watch. I might be annoying lol but I know the kind of stuff that goes on.

    Kid xbox one gamertags needed!!

If you let your son play pvz online, he will get players adding him anyway, my sons have their own GT but use mine on the one unless they on 2 player, im forever getting followers who i presume are children going by their gaming history. My gamertag has
my year of birth in it although maybe not obvious enough, it does make me uneasy knowing children are adding me just because i play a childs game (well my sons on my account)

I dont allow the use of a mic/kinect while they are playing as there is zero need, they can use one on minecraft if its a private game with children i personally know.

if they get friend requests on their account i go threw them and compare games any that have gta/cod type games get declined right away haha, im slightly brutal but unlike some parents the online gaming world can be awful

Sorry got on a bit of a rant there

    Home Xbox Scenario

From your scenario, here's what you can do:

Set a home console that your children can use and you will play on the Xbox that isn't your home.

So whoever signs in on the console that isn't your home, only the gold can be shared.

So if the two children wanted to play together, anyone can log in on the Home Xbox, and for the non-home Xbox, he can only access your subscription if you're still logged in.

    Let me know.
Thank you for the clarification, sort of.

My account, the family creator and subscription holder, does not play on either Xbox.

    Let's say this:

Minor 1 only plays on XS.

Minor 2 only plays on X.

All I want to achieve is what you said: "gold can be shared". I want both minors to be able to play their different online games on their Xbox simultaneously.

    Ex:

Minor 1 on XS plays Madden 23

Minor 2 on X plays Minecraft

From what I know, both games only need the "Gold" subscription in order to play. There are no purchased games which the minors "share".

If I set XS as the home Xbox and minor 1 starts Madden 23, they should be good to go without signing into my account. Correct?

As soon as minor 2 turns on X and opens up Minecraft, they are unable to play until they log into my account and then switch back to their account. At that point minor 1 receives the message on the XS about play here or log out. And this is where the confusion sets in.

They are not sharing games, they are sharing the ability of the gold subscription to play online games.
