    Hello GlugLug,

    Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. You can
    create a passkey     which will limit your child to getting on the adult account. Unfortunately, there is no way to limit an adult account, due to its considered adult.

    This is a huge issue I have been trying to solve as I know many other parents who initially set their Xbox consoles up using their own accounts. PLEASE give parents a solution to this problem!

    Content Restrictions

    Hi, is your account under parental controls ?

    If that's the case then the parental account will need to sign in and change any restrictions on your account.

    If that's not the case and your account is an adult account and you also have a child account signed in that has content restrictions set then those restrictions will also affect the adult account until the child account signs out.

    If you are 17 and have parental restrictions on your account the parental account will need to remove those restrictions in order to allow you to purchase the content.

    After you turn 18 you'll be able to promote your account to adult to remove the purchasing restrictions and no longer require a parental account.

    If the child accounts aren't 18+ by date of birth then they'll still be subject to the child restrictions regardless of the parental settings.
