Child Profile Management on Xbox 1

At this time limiting a childs access to play games or watch TV is just not available and may be a good feature to look into as it is a great selling point for parental management and control. I'd like to be able to have a kind of timer set-up on my xbox
one that only allows kid's profiles to watch apps or play games during certain times of the day and for a limited total time during one 24hour period.

Change his account from child to adult. Settings profile management I think.

 

Cannot promote child account.

umm its still there

if you do not have it now and its still a child account then you never had it

account management is always there

go all the way to the right and select profile (assuming you are signed into the correct profile)

then account management

 

As someone said once, if people get too many parental control options, the number of people playing on Xbox Live will start to lower and Microsoft can't let that happen. Oooh, no! I bet that's why they took a step backward with the parental controls on X1
from X360.

Setting up a schedule is a great idea. Now to figure out a way to get the kids to adhere to that when they are on their own or with the sitter. Ha, ha.

I babysit my friends kids and this is how it works when they're (parents) at work.

.........

(1) They set-up a schedule

(2) They call home to tell the kids that they can now play

(3) They call home and tell the kids to stop playing or else

(4) They ask me if the kids stopped playing when told to do so

(5) If yes, they will continue to have access to the game console. If no, they will not have access to the game console for whatever time they set the punishment for
