    Child is not added to family sharing


    I am a parent / organizer of a family group. I have added one child successfully, however the other child is showing as a "Pending Member". Whenever the pending child attempts to join the family group it says:

    "You're already in a family group - you'll need to leave your current family group to join a new one. To leave a group, select Go to family group, find your name, and then select ... and Leave family group."

    I have followed the above instructions for my child's account however I see no option anywhere for "Leaving family group". This does not make sense as they are pending in my group, but they are not in my group?!?! In fact if I log into the child's account, then go to their microsoft account, I see that they are part of my family.

    Hi. I am not having any luck whatsoever in trying to solve this issue. His account shows he is in my Family (My First and Last Name show up). I have tried other emails and phone numbers that I may have used alternatively when I created the family account for him with no luck. I need to get him into the correct family.... I have paid for his minecraft membership and now he cannot use multiplayer... this is very frustrating.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    It may mean that your other child is in a different family group. Kindly use the organizer account where he/she is linked to in that way you can remove your child from the family.

    Family accounts

    An adult account is required in order to set up restrictions for your child's account, ideally you would put gold on the adult account and share that with the child's account that would be added.

    That's correct as they are child accounts and you mentioned they haven't been added to the family, in the account that manage to enter the privacy settings leave the current family even if there no one else in that family, after this log out of the family site and restart the browser

    Once done with that create the family again, with that account being the organizer, and add the child accounts, remember that child accounts can't be organizer they must be added as childs, and check each account on the family site prior to this to verify that they aren't linked to other families

    Hey ChiefHealer187! To get yourself parental controls you will need to either be added as an adult to the current family or have the current parent account remove the child from their family so they can be added to yours. If the child is removed they will
    not be able to access the Xbox Live service until they are added to another family. For more information on removing family members check the
