Child "Gamertags" Not Showing in Family Settings.......although child "accounts" are shown

Hi, my child and I are listed in Microsoft family, but not in Xbox settings page. We don´t own a Xbox.

Gamertag missing

To make the story short:

- a did a mistake removing from family the account of my child

- I added back the account and changed email to a new one

- both accounts (child and parent) see each other as family members

Problems:

- parent privacy & security settings : cannot see my child's gamertag

- child - privacy & security settings : I get an error

- child - change gamertag: error too

- parent can log in to xbox live

- child cannot log in xbox live: error says parent account is not valid

Help to solve this mess is needed!!!

The reason you have two accounts come up is one is the parent account.

You'll want to check for sure which is the parent and which is the child. Try signing into your gamertag on the console and go to the setting hub (not through the guide menu) and select the family panel. If this account is the parent, it will show the child
account. You can select the child account and remove from family. That'll get rid of the second account.

If you do not see the second account in the family panel, that means your primary account is the child account and the email is actually tied to the parent.

Have you set the family settings on their consoles, there's a chance you may have set the child settings which could be causing the blockage?

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. An adult account will need to be tied to the child account through a family in order to regulate the

child account settings. Once the settings are updated for the child account, the child account should be able to redeem the prepaid code for the game. The article entitled

how to add a child to a family account contains information on how to set up a family. Be sure to let us know the results!

Thank you for your reply!. I have encounterd a new problem, the childs gamertag wont show in the settnings. do you know how i make that happen? sorry for bothering you

Did you add the child's account to the family group as on this page?

Also, make sure you're logged into the adult account that has that child account under it, to change these settings.
