Child cant play Multiplayer on Minecraft - childs settings on xbox and childs settings when...

So me the Parent has an account, and the child has an account.

Bought Minecraft on childs account - but it says that multiplayer is not enabled.

Multiplayer on the Parents account works fine.

So went trough all steps and tricks, change settings, log in as parent on launcher, cleared cache, reinstall launcher and minecraft.. Still nothing..

So what I hav discovered is that when i log in on the parents account and views the childs account permissions, they are all set to Allow.

But when I log in as the child, the same permissions are set to Deny ?

Is this an bug somewhere or something I can do ?

    :)

Child cant play Multiplayer on Minecraft - childs settings on xbox and childs settings when logged in as parent do not match

    Hi Håkon

Sorry to hear about what happened, however, if the privacy settings aren't reflecting even if you configured it. Kindly try a different browser or use an incognito window to configure your child's account using your adult account.

Ensure that these settings are all enabled:

Under Xbox and Windows 10 devices Online safety, ensure that "You can play with people outside of Xbox Live", "You can create and join clubs", "You can add friends" and "You can join multiplayer games" are set to Allow. Scroll down and click submit.

Under Privacy, "You can see and upload community creations" set it to Everyone and these are optional: "You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text" Allow and "Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites" Everyone. Scroll down and click Submit.

If it still doesn't work, you may try using the Xbox Family Settings app here: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/apps/family-settings...

Why can’t my child play multiplayer on Minecraft when I’m not signed in on the Xbox

As others noted, your children need an active Gold membership subscription to be able to play online multiplayer (other than free to play titles like Apex or Fortnite).

Since you say the child can play online multiplayer when you are signed in on that console, I assume your own account has an active Gold or Game Pass ULTIMATE subscription.

In order to save some costs, you can do the following:

Give one child (let's call it Child A) a gold membership subscription or a Game Pass ULTIMATE subscription (a "regular" Game Pass subscription won't do it).

Now Child A goes to the console of Child B and sets that console as their own Home Console in the settings of the Child B console.

Now the Child B console shares the Gold membership subscription with ANYONE playing on that Child B console.

As Child A is the owner of the Gold subscription, they in turn can go to ANY CONSOLE and their Gold subscription goes with them.

So Child B can play Minecraft online Multiplayer thanks to the shared Gold subscription on the B-console, and Child A can play on their own console (or any other console) thanks to the Gold membership on their Child A account.

If you yourself don't play online multiplayer, you can then cancel the Gold subscription on your own account, and the kids can play with their own accounts.

    Child Can't Play Multiplayer

If you have child settings on your childs account then that can disable online multiplayer my recommendation is to go through the account settings and configure it in the way you deem safe for your child

How do I make it so my child can stream on Xbox series s when hes old enough but it says it will be disabled

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    good evening

If your child's Xbox Series S account is set up as a child account, there are a few steps you can take to allow your child to stream on the console when they are old enough.

Make sure that your child's account is linked to a parent account. If it is not already linked, you can link the child account to a parent account by going to "Settings" > "Account" > "Family" on the console, and then following the prompts to link the accounts.

Once the child account is linked to a parent account, the parent can change the privacy and online safety settings for the child account by going to "Settings" > "Account" > "Family" > "Manage family members" > [child's name] > "Privacy & online safety".

Under the "Privacy & online safety" settings, the parent can change the settings for "Online safety" and "Broadcasting". For example, the parent can allow the child to participate in multiplayer gaming and share content online, or allow the child to stream content.

If the parent account is not able to change the settings for the child account, it may be because the child account is set up as a "Younger child" account. In this case, the parent will need to request that the child's account be converted to a "Child" account. This can be done by going to "Settings" > "Account" > "Family" > "Manage family members" > [child's name] > "Change to a child account".

I hope this information helps you allow your child to stream on the Xbox Series S.

    I cant play multiplayer anymore

i will need you to clarify your situation a bit more,

is your account set to child or adult

if it is child you must be 13+ in order to play multiplayer

if thats the case you will need to ask a parent who has there xbox account associated with the childs account
