Child accounts don't connect anymore, stay in loop, how restore them with only gamertag ?

Exactly!!!

They need to update the site, because these steps do NOT work for child accounts anymore:

support.xbox.com/.../offline-profile-to-gamertag

or

They need to change the way you can create a child account. They won't let you create a child account on the console anymore. You MUST go to xbox.com and create one. So those steps won't work.

My only options are:

1. convert my CHILD'S offline profile to an ADULT xbox live account

2. tell my kid's that they need to start all over

And I'm told you can't convert an adult account to a child account!!!!!!

How is there not some kind of work-around for this? I'm thinking "Sony"

How can I restore my account? Microsoft offers a recovery page where I enter any data I can think of. My former e-mail address
[Mod Removed - PII] no longer exists, not even at gmx. I don't know my passwords anymore. Everything else I don't know anymore. The only thing I have is the gamertag . But this is not enough for Microsoft Xbox Support. And that is
not good.

Hello I would just keep blocking the person. If hes making new accounts keep blocking them. If your child is not following the rules then they might need to stay off the console for a while. As stated try to report if you can. Im not sure how much can
be done with just a gamertag but you can try. Account security is a must on the childs account!

If you are stuck in that ToU loop, one way to resolve that is to log in with either the child or the adult profile on a console. You should then resolve that looping issue.

I don't think I've ever heard of them closing accounts to free up gamertags, it's always been them recycling gamertags that aren't attached to accounts anymore that I've seen.
