    Child accounts and permissions

I have had all xbox's from the original until the xbox one. I set up an account for my son on his 360 years ago and it works fine, on getting a xbox one I found due to his age he cant play any of his games. he is 12 and can't even play minecraft due to the
age restrictions. Now I would say there is something not right with his account? it asks for me to sign in and give him permission but on the choose who is to give him permission screen there is no option to give it. this is the same for all games on the console
including fifa 16 Disney infinity and skylanders, mmm something not right there. I have tried everything I can find on the net and in forums and have been at this for about 8 months and it is really stressing me out. When I sign him out of the console all
games work perfect on my login. I phoned xbox support and they walked me through the exact same things I had already done. Even in my Microsoft account I can see my son as a child but cant manage his permissions as this screen is blank. What the **** are microsoft
doing!!! Do I have to make him another account altogether and lose his gamer tag and points plus pay for another xbox live subscription. This is terrible. If anyone has a solution please help...

    Thank you

    :)

  3. Error 83118853 where is yesterdays acknowledgement of the problem

    Problem:

You see the following error and message when you try to sign in to Xbox Live using a child account:

Before you can sign in here, you'll need to sign in at Xbox.com.

An adult will also need to sign in so they can give permission.

    Code: 83118853

This means that the parent account must provide permission for each associated child account (under age 13) before the child can access Xbox Live

    Solution:

To resolve this issue, have the child account sign in to Xbox.com. Then, when prompted, the parent account associated with the child account should sign in to Xbox.com and give permission for the child account to sign in to Xbox Live.

If you keep experiencing the problem, contact Xbox Support.

    Xbox Website

You can't exactly change a child account to an adult account until the child has actually turned 18. However, you can change their permissions. You need to log into the adult account, and under family settings, you can change the permissions of your child's
    account.

Xbox Live funcionality does not work

Is your account a Child or Adult account? If you are under 18 and it is a Child account your parents will need to set your permissions to allow it.

    Help with account

That happens when you have registered a child account. Your parent account should give permission to a child account to play online
