Child Account Trouble

I still have family restrictions on my account, as when I go to, for example, purchase something on the xbox store I get a pop up restricting me which says 'this is a child account' and it prompts me to change it in the settings. I thought this would change
after I turned 18, it didn't. I would change it, however, the parent account associated is gone. I cannot access it in anyway at all, and therefore according to xbox I can't remove the child restrictions from my account. I've tried to add another parent and
use that account to change settings, but nope. Apparently I can only be a part of one family? (Do people at microsoft not have two parents?) Anyway is there anything anyone could suggest that would help at all. It's become really annoying as I can't even do
things like purchase games or movies or DLC on the store. Thanks.

Child account to adult account troubles

Hi,

my Xbox account is a child account that I wish to promote to an adult however the one adult account in the Microsoft family that can promote me is no longer used. We no longer use the email and cannot remember the password or any security details as we made
the account a few years ago, any way we can solve this?

Hello,

A child account can not be promoted to an adult account. The adult account in the group however can give the child account more freedom but the ONLY way a child account to be promoted is for it to age into the correct Legal age.

If you wish to try and access that Adult account you would have to contact support and provide enough proof that account was yours. https://support.xbox.com
