The "A permanent content exception cannot be revoked." rule is completely unfathomable. Why can it not be revoked? It can't be technical so what is the underlying policy for it?

When, for whatever reason, an erroneous exception has been made the only option is to create a new child account, losing all achievements. I would urge MS to reconsider this 'feature'..

Looking for some help getting my child's account set up properly. I have listed multiple apps on the "do not allow" list under my family settings, but they can still be downloaded and used regardless. The same with only allowing a single website, but this
only seems to apply to the IE app, none of the others seem to recognize the restriction.

I contacted Microsoft and they are supposed to get sending me an email with what they find. This is incredibly frustrating and I can't help but wonder if i'm setting up something wrong. I also have it so purchases require an adult sign in, but this doesn't
seem to stop anything that is listed for "free", games or apps. Am I understanding the family settings incorrectly?

What is the point of your remark? You link states: " This is known as “granting a permanent exception”. The restriction that was blocking the child account from accessing the restricted content is removed permanently. A permanent content exception cannot
be revoked." which is teh reason of my first post....

I agree that this issue is incredibly short sighted on the part of Microsoft. This needs to be fixed. There should not be an un-revocable exception to any child/ teen account. In fact, the parental protections offered on the Xbox One seem to be more window
dressing than substantive. There is no way to limit the amount of time a child/ teen has access to the console.

If someone in the Xbox One development area reads these forums please consider the following complaint/request!

Microsoft has a pretty good family safety program for windows based computers and it works very well with Windows 8 and Microsoft accounts. Why wouldn't family safety work with the Xbox? What is it with the need to make the Xbox so easily accessible to
children and teens who developmentally have difficulties with delaying gratification and impulse control. Sure, I can unplug it, remove the controllers, and the Kinect. But then it becomes too difficult to access the console for it's home entertainment value
as well as the occasional time I spend gaming. Please consider fixing these weaknesses with the Xbox One Home Entertainment/Game console.

    This is totally fixable. Open
    account.xbox.com/.../ContentAccess
and modify the games you've given permanent access to. Gotta go one at a time - the site has a bug with multiple deletes.
