Discus and support Child Account Management in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; my account on Xbox is labeled as a child account, so many features are blocked and some settings I cannot change.     Child Account Management


    my account on Xbox is labeled as a child account, so many features are blocked and some settings I cannot change. I have long forgotten the email and password of the parent account, and thus, I am unable to change any settings on my account. I am now 18
    years of age, yet still the account is labeled as a child account. Is there any way to change the account's privacy and online safety settings without the parent account?

    Child Account Gamertag Management

    How does one go about changing the gamertag of a child account, as a parent accountholder? (using a browser)

    Every time I click on the relevant section it tries to change _my_ gamertag, which is not what I want.

    The child account 'does not have permission' to do this via xbox one - but I can't locate the relevant setting in 'Family' which changes this.

    I don't know if your on 360 or One. But if it's 360 you should be able to sign in "offline" and then go to account in the menu and it should show the email associated with the account. At least that way you'll have the right email.

    Just curious, you stated that you're getting an error. What's the exact error you're getting? If you're getting an error code, it should start with an 8 and be about 8 characters long.
