Child account issues

I own an Xbox one and I created an account for my 10 years daughter so I was forced to created a Hotmail account for her too. I enter into her account whenever I want because I know the password. Since she has encountered annoying issues in Windows 10 for
common tasks as open Chrome, I have removed her from the family group so she would gain access to Chrome or any other app on our desktop. What she does or does not on our desktop I don't really care, I created that account only for making her access to our
devices much easily. Now her Xbox one account has now facing problems, the parental warning shows up everything time she starts a game. That is extrange because she is not part of my (Hotmail) family so the speaking, she isn't even listed on the console but
still is requiring my consent. For her it's impossible to play a game without my permission so I need to enter in that obnoxious controller my 20 digit password everytime she wants to play 5 minutes. Everytime. I need to do so and automatically, by doing so,
even if I don't consent that, she is "re-enter the family group" and the circle start from there. I changed her age to 40 years on the Microsoft account site and she still appears to be a "child". The only think I'm asking for is granting to her the permission
to use our desktop irrestictibly as well as playing freely her child-friendly games, thanks. PS: wondering how in heavens 18+ members of a family have to be signed in/out in all these devices, the parental system is mostly useless and annoying.

Have you tried promoting the account on the console itself? Does that terms of use blockage stop you from accessing the necessary pages? Instructions are on this page:

Child Account Issues

I have been having a few issues with my account being regarded as a "Child Account" lately.

I was given directions on how to change my account into no longer being a Child Account. However, I seem to be caught in a sort of Catch-22 at the moment. I can not go to the My Account section of this site to change my account into an adult account, due
to an Error:

I can only imagine this is because I have not yet accepted to the updated terms and conditions from the last time I logged in. HOWEVER, I can not accept the terms and conditions without parental approval as I am still in a child account. I can not attempt
to get my parents' information in order to bypass this because I do not know the password (nor do they) to the adult account associated with mine, the email associated with the account comes up with an error saying that no account exists under that email.

TL;DR- Can't change child account to adult account b/c have to accept terms and conditions. To accept terms and conditions, need parent account password. Have no way to get that information.

 

you can't once set an age of account can never be changed till she turns 18

 

Once an account is setup and the date of birth is put into the account even if you go in and change it the change will not be seen on the Microsoft account and until the date of birth reaches 18 it will be required to be in a family as a child account. Otherwise
it will be considered as an orphaned account and will not be able to do anything till it is added to a family as a child.

 

That is non sense. There was no disclaimer prior to choosing her age that microsoft would use this an opportunity to extort more money from parents. The reason im taking her off because i cant just pay outright for content. I have to give an allowance.
If something costs $9.99 i can add $10.00 but that wont cover tax. Id have to give her $15.00 and over pay. Thats nonsense. This is going to be a class action if you continue to extort your clients.

It is their terms

And copa enforces it and yes it is a law

If you remove your child from parental control it is your responcibility as tbe parent for any of her actions

Umm tax is the law you do realize that right ?

Everyrhung is taxed and is in fact the law

They arent extorting anything

Prepaid cards are set balances regardless of your dream world

If you want exact change use your creditcard or complain to your senator about taxes.guess how you will.be laughed at
