Child account into an adult

So i have not run into this before but a game says my kid is not old enough to play. So i need to change it to an adult account but there are no options that i can find.

I would recover your account to the other console. xbox live accounts are not transferable . . . even from child to parent. The only way to promote an account once it is created is T-I-M-E. When the account comes of age according to the age of the child
when it was created . . you can promote it.

you can't until he turns 18then you can click promote to adult account based on the original birthdays he enters when he created the account and no it can't be changed after the fact even by an new email or editing the ms account

Aging is the only way to promote a child account to adult. If he was 12 when the account was created you have wait 6 years, as an example. You can create a brand new account and make it an adult one.

There are three accounts in total, two adult, one child. The info I gave previously was from my adult account.

I'm just checking his child and our adult statuses.

My account is Adult and his is Custom (Child setting interfered with his gaming).

Is the account in question a child's or adult's account? If its a child account you may want to change it to an adult account and give it a shot.

Adult accounts cannot be made child accounts. Only child accounts can be converted to adult accounts. Not the other way around.

18. The best way to manage the child account is to
add it to a family. This requires an adult account to add the child account to the family. Once the child account has been added to the adult account's family, the child account will be able to access online features. Be sure to let us know the results!

You can change a child account to an adult account, but you can't change an adult account to a child account. In order to manage them, you would have to create new child accounts for them.
