    Child Account Gamertag Management


    How does one go about changing the gamertag of a child account, as a parent accountholder? (using a browser)

    Every time I click on the relevant section it tries to change _my_ gamertag, which is not what I want.

    The child account 'does not have permission' to do this via xbox one - but I can't locate the relevant setting in 'Family' which changes this.

    Everything is bound to the account/gamertag. If you have a child then they should be on a child account which does let you set restrictions.

    No, you can not make your offline profile into a Gamertag. This is because it's a child account as you stated above. If it is not a child account, you can follow these steps here:

    support.xbox.com/.../offline-profile-to-gamertag
