Child account appears in Family and Friends but not in Privacy Settings

Hi,

My son has a gamer tag. It appears in my account under the Family heading but not in Privacy one.

He would like to join a realm in a Minecraft (Pocket Edition) but can't due to an account Privacy issue. I can't resolve this as his tag can't be accessed.

His gamer tag is CheesyCarp36877, mine is .

This issue was originally posted in the forums under another thread before Christmas. Some accounts were resolved, but since then the thread has gone dead despite myself and others posting there.

Please can this be resolved?

Friend Approval for child accounts...

http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live/online-privacy-and-safety/online-safety states this about friend requests privacy setting on child accounts :

"If set to Blocked, the adult account must approve all friend requests."

Having just spent hours chatting to support, we seem to have determined that this means is

"If set to Blocked, the adult must change the privacy settings to allow, log in as the child, accept the friend requests, and then set to block again"

Also, if I set the privacy settings to "child", it appears to block the parent from seeing who the child accounts friends are.

The only option in the Settings/Family section appears to be "Remove Child From Family"!!!! Not very useful.

Can anyone tell me how this is supposed to work, because it all seems very ill thought out.

I cannot manage my childs xbox privacy settings. My childs microsoft account is member of my Family (on the Microsoft Account page), but his gamingtag does not appear in manage privacy settings on account.xbox.com - please help

Have you had a chance to
check out this page to change your child account settings from your parent account? Give that a try and let us know if you're able to change your privacy settings there

Hi,

If I follow the link (logged in) I see my son's account. Clicking on 'Manage my child's profile info' goes to blank page.

There isn't a link/option for privacy settings unless I'm not looking in the right place.

If those 2 accounts can't logg in the privacy settings site means they are child accounts, this means that during creation the age of the accounts was set as a child, this can't be changed after creation, as for Xbox will remain as a child account until enough time pass to become an adult

The message doesn't say you are in a family, it appears because child accounts cant view their privacy settings an adult is required to add him to a Microsoft family here

After the adult account creates the family and adds the minor's account to his family In order for you to be able to play multiplayer, you must change the privacy settings of your account. It can be done here
