Chicago is a depressing place

Been playing the game for a few hours, touched base with pretty much all the activities and a few main missions along with online and I have to say: This city is just crawling with people with sad stories. That guy has cancer, that lady just got evicted
from her fourth apartment in one year, that guy is estranged from his family. Is there no one in this city who doesn't have their life in the toilet?

I agree with the multiple threads that basically wonder why M$ didn't use the Xbox 360 platform and all its features as the starting point for the Xbox One and then upgrade from there. It is a fair question.

That is pretty much how that town is in real life. The worse off outnumber the well off by a lot.

 

I even saw a npc who was a "hardcore gamer"....Sad.

 

Being an Illinois resident and frequent visitor to Cook County, you'd be down too if you paid the taxes we do, lol true story!

 

Seems pretty nice once you get out of the projects. I've seen small country towns more depressing then the cities. Sandy Shores in GTA V for example. Now that's a depressing place.

 

Never been, no. Still, seems to me there's got to be a few people with a "Just got promoted" status or "Graduated top of his class."

 

This is also the way CtOS looks and analyses those people.Always the bad side of their life.

 

They seem to be on alright incomes though. Most of them seem to be averaging 50k+.

 

I think its an overall good representation of Chicago or any other major city. People have issues. Some of them are financial, some fetishes, some legal. Each person in the city is uniquie and I think that is one detail that makes the game standout.
