Discus and support Checking a kinect sensor in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Is there a way to checkout a Kinect sensor without hooking up to xbox360. Need to see if it works.     Is there a way to checkout a Kinect sensor without hooking up to xbox360. Need to see if it works. Thanks

    Kinect not acknowledging my voice at all

    Did you check your settings? Kinect can be turned off.


    Troubleshoot issues with Kinect voice commands


    Verify that your Kinect sensor is on
    1. Press the Menu button on your controller, select Settings, then select Kinect.
    2. Verify that the Kinect on setting is selected. If it isn’t, select Kinect on to turn the sensor on.

    I am personally livid that there is a console attached to my Kinect sensor and this raises the price of my Kinect sensor considerably. Apparently, when the console breaks then my Kinect sensor will no longer function.

    Hey there sleepnyankee,

    It's certainly the easiest option. The only other way to do it would be through a PC with the Kinect for Windows adapter, which will allow you to draw power from a wall outlet. You'd then need to use PC software to test it.

    Hey there Graph! I understand you are having some issues with your Kinect sensor at this time. Can you clarify where you are seeing the error about the update? Does this happen on your console? If so, what are you doing at that time?

    Also, have you checked out this support document for Kinect sensor issues (support.xbox.com/.../red-light-on-kinect-sensor)? Please look through there and see if

    Works the Xbox one kinect together with the xbox 360?

    To play the Kinect games released on the Xbox 360, you will have to play them with an Xbox 360 console with the Xbox 360 Kinect Sensor.

    The Kinect Sensors are not interchangeable between consoles (you cannot use One Sensor on Xbox 360, nor a 360 Sensor on Xbox One), as both Kinect Sensors have different, proprietary Kinect plugs, and the games are specifically programmed to use the exact Kinect
    sensor on the console they were released on.
