Check your network error 0x84200006 when searching

Anytime I go to 'Xbox bing ....' and say something I receive this error. At first I thought it was a kinect issue but even if I type a search in I always get this error.

The rest of the functionality of my xbox one is working. I can play multiplayer games, watch netflix, browse the internet with IE, listen to xbox music but when I go to search it errors out.

I've tried multiple DNS entries, I've tried different cables and even different routers. I've tried putting the xbox one into DMZ. I've tried changing from wired to wireless. I've tried rebooting multiple times. I've unplugged the xbox one for more than
ten minutes.

I have not tried a factory reset yet. I have half my hard drive filled with games already and I don't really want to re-download all my games unless I know this will fix it.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Was informed today that the BEE error might have something to do with my packet loss... which is at 1% when i check under "Detailed Networking Statistics" whats yours? http://www.ign.com/boards/members/jackoxiii.4914333/" class="username"> or anyone else that knows their own?

Your error report states you are still using WEP? Have you tried searching for your wireless network again and connecting?

Use WPA2-PSK(AES) if you can, not TKIP only

Just in case anyone else is experiencing similar issues....

A factory reset does not fix this issue. Xbox Bing errors out every time. I am now re-downloading about 150 gigs on a 10 meg line.

It’s wirelessly connected. The console says that it’s connected when I check the network. It’s when I try to search for updates and when it attempts to run those updates, that it gives me this error: 0x8B0500B6 0x00000000
0x00000201

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We need a little more information to ensure that we provide the correct solution. Is the Xbox 360 S able to detect your networks or your neighbor's networks when you search for a network to connect to? Does
an error message or error code appear when your console fails to connect to the network? Have you attempted to connect the Xbox 360 S to your network with an ethernet cable? Be sure to let us know the results!

Hey there Harlem!

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues trying to use your console.

I split your reply off of the thread it was on as we want to make sure that your issue get's the appropriate attention it needs to get hopefully resolved.

I looked up your code on our
Error Status Code Search and this normally happens when your console has a problem hooking up to your network.

If the steps in the link or in our search don't work, I would suggest going to
Settings> Network> Network Settings> Test Network Connection and let us know if you see any error when you do.

When you get a chance, try those steps outlined and let us know if that helped or of any errors you run into.
