    Check Your Display cable error 1-4 Windows Mixed Reality


    I've tried many things such as restarting my drivers, uninstalling them, restarting my computer, unplugging the headset in every order and putting it back in, updating my windows, updating my drivers,uninstalling the windows mixed reality portal, and many more but nothing seems to work my last resort to this issue is trying to get a dp to HDMI cord tho I have not yet tried this as I do not have the cord for this.

    Also I have an AMD RX 570

    And a Samsung odyssey+

    help from anyone on this issue would be greatly appreciated!

    (update it also works on the 2 other computers in my household one being built exactly the same as my computer but with a different case and the headset has worked for a year up until about 2 weeks or so ago)

    In order for you to identify the type of Windows license that you are using.

    You may press the Windows key and R then type msinfo32. You will be routed to system summary of your computer.

    Hi Jason!

    I'm not quite sure what type of Windows License I Have, But all of my computer has been working but this one issue and I get the error 1-4 on the Mixed Reality Portal Every time I have my headset plugged in and open the portal. Also all of my drivers are fully up to date and that does not seem to be the issue I'm facing.

    • I just wanted to verify the type of Windows license that you are using (Windows Home , Pro or Enterprise) ?
    • Is this working before ?
    • Is there any error message or error code that you will be getting ?
    Based on the given issue here are the steps that we can follow to possibly fix the issue.

    Update the device driver

    • In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager.
    • Select a category to see names of devices, then right-click (or press and hold) the one you’d like to update.
    • Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
    • Select Update Driver.
    • If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.
