I have exactly the same issue with a battlefield deluxe code and xbox support says it needs a week tonresolve.the issue

Hey there Mr. Stephenson!

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with issues trying to redeem your code.

It usually says that if your code is missing digits or has too much, or if it is not a valid code.

How many digits is your code?

If that code does not work on the console, then I suggest trying to redeem it online to your account directly as outlined in

How to redeem gift cards and codes. If you tried it on the internet, then try vice versa.

It might be faster/ more helpful for you to contact
customer support as well if you still are having problems after trying another method of redemption.

Give those steps a shot and let us know how that helped resolve the issue.
