About 4 days ago, I began seeing "Check back soon. We can't get data for your settings." on the Xbox One under Account...Family settings when My sign-in, security & passkey is selected. This is my master account with 2 child accounts. When the child account
are logged in, their information shows with check boxes next to each enabled security item. Mine used to show many items listed here but now only shows the message.

I have had issues recently with the time allotment on one child account not being followed. He was able to play more hours than we was supposed to. I removed his account and cleared the cache and it seams to have fixed the issue. However, he keeps unplugging
the machine and moving it to other rooms and I noticed the issue returned, so I reset the accounts again and that is when the message began.

My questions are:

Has anyone encountered this before?

Does this mean the family settings are not being saved?

How do I get the information back instead of this message?

Any insight to this is appreciated.

Hello Ranses,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. Sounds like when your son is moving the console, he may be unplugging it at the wrong time. So what it is doing is causing corrupt files. We recommend a

soft factory reset. Then once all is good have them unplug it when the console is completely powered off. To do this just hold the power button on the console itself. Try this and let us know how it goes.

Perfect. Thank you for the response. I bit of pain to reset everything up but it did work. And thank you for the instruction on having him shut it down properly. Issue is solve.

I try to start it, a smaller window overlaps, says, "We are syncing your data, please wait....we will be done soon." Several seconds later it replaces that message with "We can't sync your data with the cloud right now."

Hi, sorry but usually the data that is corrupt is gone and you can't get it back. Please make sure from next time to back up your data, so you will not loose it again if the data becomes corrupt in the future. Maybe you should check your Xbox, if the data
is still available on your old Xbox.
