I have been stuck on this page for the past three hours. How do I play a downloaded game?

I have been trying to play a recently downloaded game for the past three hours. I can't get past the "Service outages happen once in a while" message.

Which page are you visiting? I'm not seeing any warnings/issues on the Xbox Live status page.

 

When I go to games, I click a game that was just downloaded. Then It says getting your game ready then a screen comes up and says "Check back in a while. Service outages happen once in a while. Sit tight! We're aware of the outage, and we're working to
restore service.

Not sure about the outage (can very by region, and there isn't one where I am). You can check here to see if there is an outage in your area: https://support.xbox.?xr=shellnavcom/xbox-live-status

Often times when you put the console in Offline mode, you can play downloaded games as long as you are on your home console.

To put your console in offline mode, you can do the following:

Open the Guide (Press the Xbox button on the controller) > go to System > Settings > Network > Network Settings > Go offline.

Ok, give me a second. I just had a John with support call us. We will see if he can fix it. I will report back what we did.

 

Apparently Forza 4 and Rush are not working right and this happens from time to time. When I select Tom Clancy, it worked.

Usually after you downloaded a game you need to do a hard reset/power cycle.

Press and hold down the Xbox logo on the front for 10 seconds and leave off for 30 seconds before switching back on.

 

I've had this issue all day and i havent been able to play forza horizon 4 for over 8 hours

 

Hi try resetting the console hold your finger on the power button for 10 seconds.
