CHEATING

The cheating is getting worse and it will continue to do so as long as Microsoft continue to ignore the problem.

The current system is set up to ensure that there is no avenue to pursue this matter.

You cannot contact the enforcement team and all customer facing members of staff have no jurisdiction in this area.

All you can do is file a complaint which they do not even look at.

Microsoft have compounded the cheating problem by their indifference towards it. A lot of gamers have started cheating because it is widely known that cheats don't get banned.

Even on this forum the contradiction is startling. Some say it is not Microsoft's responsibility and others make wildly inaccurate statements that all complaints are investigated (which anyone with half a brain know's is not true).

If it is the responsibilty of game makers to patch their games this should not mean that Microsoft can ignore the problem. They still have a responsibility to their paying customers to ensure this process is happening.

 

Actually, Quenxo, you're more wrong than you are right. Please, stop acting like you know more than anyone else, because you cannot give physical proof that the enforcement team does nothing.

Activision does NOT control the servers, the game Devs do (Treyarc, Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer. Activision is just the publisher). Regardless of what you think or want, they cannot stop hacking/modding on xbox 360. it's just not possible. Either accept
it, or get an Xbox One. Don't like Cod4 hackers? Get a One and play Modern Warfare Remastered.

The problem with all of this is, is that Microsoft/xbox in general cannot control a console that's been tampered with physically. The most they are able to do is ban their xbox, but like you said, they can just JTAG it. So it's literally impossible to stop
unless they had a worldwide FORCED recall on 360 consoles and re-released them with a new OS. (That will never happen. Ever.) So all in all, just upgrade. It'll be worth it.

I did not say the enforcement do nothing, I said they do nothing about cheating on older games. My arguments and opinions are based on what I actually see happening on an ongoing basis, so I do know what I'm talking about.

How can you claim to know what the enforcement team do if no-one is allowed to contact them?

I bought every Cod until I realised that xbl and game makers abandon support for these games after a short while. I'm pretty sure that this will be my last gold subscription and I will not be buying an xb1. XBL are happy for cheating to continue and that
isn't something I want to be a part of.

I accept your point about JTAG'd consoles but i would be surprised if they make up the majority of cheats. This is something I know very little about but surely if it's as widespread as you suggest, xbl should be attempting to combat the problem. It only
re-inforces my opinion that it would be a waste of time buying an xb1 as you are saying that xbl do not have the ability to stop cheating on their system/platform.

Believe me, pal, it is. Playstation 3 is infested with just as many, if not more, modders.

If you don't wanna deal with them, either buy an xbox one or playstation 4 (Neither of them have been hacked so far) or a high end PC and play on VAC secured servers (even those get hackers sometimes)

And yes, they actually do still ban users for hacking older games. Just a few months ago I got a hacker on Black Ops 2 (who was flying around the sky with a gun that shot Hellstorm missiles) banned for a couple weeks, the poor little sop put in his bio "Just
tired of getting banned :/" after his ban was up. So they still do, but they can't control them all. If you can't learn to accept it, then stop playing, stop complaining, and move on with your life. Or at least get a next gen console where you're guaranteed
to have no hackers (although the filthy try hards are still galor). The old games are old games. All of the Devs are working on the new ones too much to pay attention to the old ones. It's just how that stuff works.

All the worst cheats on COD4 are still on there cheating. They never get banned.

What proof do you have the cheat on black ops2 got banned?? People can write anything in their bio. I've known players who put "code of conduct" in their bio. They haven't been banned but they think it's funny to make people think they have.

By the way, I'm not your pal and thanks for the life advice but judging by the **** story in the thread you created you should probably concentrate on your own crumbling world.

 

For the record, the **** word was not a swear word. It was another word for cry which I guess the filter thought was an abbreviated way of saying son of b.

1. I didn't make stuff up and use it to form a basis of my "argument".

I brought up PlayStation under the assumption that you would switch, as most gamers do when they get fed up with their current console devs. It's under the "A gamer doesn't simply stop gaming" concept, so chill out, kiddo.

2. I know he was banned because his account was inactive for EXACTLY 2 weeks before he came back on and made that bio, safe to say he was.

3. You seem to not comprehend the fact that hackers on 360 can unban their accounts. *rolls eyes* do I need to explain that step by step, too?

4. The fact that you commented in such a childish way, especially quoting me, on that thread was actually funny (and rather pathetic if I might add). I made it for others' opinions, because unlike you, I actually have to pay for my stuff with my own money.

Xbox Live you would think could easily identify gamertagas playing on their. own network through i.p addresses or serial numbers of each xbox or even mac addresses to monitor and expose cheats and electronic harassers wouldnt you? I mean even collecting
game data thru simple algorithms to see if say shooting a target or moving across a stage faster or glitching across a map or spawn locations would make sense right to at least look at the data and statistics to see if its even possible for a gamertag to do
that fairly online? Well yes they can see it all happening but do nothing to those who they protect, that is your answer!! I constantly get harassed and discriminated everytime my xbox gets turned on. Ihave had my xbox crash twice and had to reset it to factory
default losing everything after uploading videos exposing these gamertags on live activity feed. Privacy laws change all the time and internet providers can shareyour data with god knows who now plus certain people are targeted for harassment. These gamertags
are never punished or banned almost like they have admin rights like a employee would!! Evidence can be found in my uploaded videos to live activity feed.. Much love all keep spreading truth
