cheating on xbox voting contests?

Hey there. I'm a fellow gamer from Singapore and there's a promotion going on which awards entries with the most votes with an xbox 360 and kinect set. I participated early and took the lead at 50. It took about 4 hours of communicating with my friends to
encourage them to vote. However, this morning, I checked the results and saw an entry at 50 as well. I was a little intimidated at first as the entry seemed to have lots of friends. However, I refreshed the page over and over and the votes were increasing
by 1 every 10 seconds!

I suspect that he is cheating by either changing his IP or actually buying votes online.

Is this allowed? If it is, I'm probably gonna stop wasting my time.

why does the bloody voting screen keep resetting after all the votes are in?

It's people cheating to get a map/gametype they want. If you plug a USB memory stick into your Xbox then pull it out when voting end it forces another vote. It's banable.

 

Is the Quit Ban making a return?

don't forget...the voting system is being manipulated by cheaters as well. as soon as they see they aren't going to get the map/gametype they wanted, they (i ain't gonna explain how they do this. showing it will get me banned/ deleted from these posts) start
cheating the voting system and the load failure screen shows and we have to vote AGAIN

 

Some promotions don't care while others do. You would need to contact the promoter if you have suspicions of cheating. They are the only ones who will be able to determine it.
