Cheating & Hacking Lets Try and Stamp It Out

Im sure your aware with the amount of hacking that happens on modern games console like Xbox360 and Xbox One but their has been no solution for this for a while now and it now affecting the online gaming community massively. The two biggest games of the
year Call of Duty Ghost & Grand Theft Auto V have been almost ruined by hackers and seams the games developers are very slow to respond to problems.
Ive been looking into how these hacks work and whats involved in using them most of the hacks are files taken from the console via USB and modified using a PC and special program then injected back into the game via USB. After getting frustrated with the
cheats i thought of away to prevent this and to stop any code modification of online lobby's using any type of mod or cheat and not sure why its not been developed.
If there was a modified virus scanner installed on the cloud server hosting the game lobby if this scanner knows what all the lobby code should be without any manipulation then if anyone try's to manipulate or inject custom code, mods, or cheats into the
game lobby the scanner can detect it block the modification to the game lobby and report the gamer for investigation.
This simple system should be able to be deployed to any gaming server for PC, Games Consoles, Mobile Devices
Im sure if it was developed most game developers would use it and having it certificated on the game will restore gamers conferdance in online gaming if you read call of duty ghost forums you can see that they have 10000 of unhappy customer same with the
Rockstar forums all about cheaters and hackers.
I know it also affecting the console manufacturers like Microsoft as they offer rewards system based on achievements and Gamers Score if people can cheat there way to a high score and gain lots of achievements they gain better rewards from Microsoft so
there giving away stuff to these cheats
I want to hear other peoples views on how you been affected and the issues with online hacking you may have other ideas on ways that MS and Game developers can take to stamp out online hacking

Caught Some Boosters!

You're right & wrong. Boosting & hacking ARE 2 different things, but they're BOTH considered cheating. Hacking is using a hardware device, modified or otherwise that is not originally intended to be used. Boosting is gaining some sort of in-game stat boost
or advantage that was not originally intended. Both cases affect the fun of other players. They are both cheating & are reportable offenses....

Hacking is not cheating, it is hacking.

 

Agree with the sentiment but at the same time hard to believe from someone who hides their game history.

 

What's funny is programs that are similar to this already exist such as the Valve Anti-Cheat system (VAC). If a user joins a VAC protected server from a computer with identifiable cheats installed, the VAC system will automatically ban the person from playing
on all VAC protected servers in the future.

 

I think pro-cheat and legitimate users should be separated for sure to be fair, but if someone is going to spend hundreds of dollars on a console and games, who are you to tell them how they HAVE to play? Are you going to tell me next I can't put performance
mods on my car because it makes it faster than yours? Cheating has been around almost as long as digital gaming itself, and some people get more enjoyment out of the games that way, but now there's nowhere for the cheaters to go - if you want to play with
others online, you HAVE to do it through the console's online service. It's pretty messed up to say that only your play style preferences should be allowed.

 

Hi VoteDC ive hidden my game history with the privacy setting on MS network after being sent messages from a scammer claiming to be working for a charity and collecting 7 day trials for deprived kids and also keep getting messages from other members when
playing online join my clan and or a nice message telling me how much of a nice person i am when im online that's why VoteDC

You're fighting a battle that you can't win. People will ALWAYS cheat the system and your *only* hope is for game developers to actually give a cr@p about fixing their previous titles. They just don't have time to do that as they have a deadline to get
out their newest game.

So......it's okay to be an unethical immoral *-hole because people have been doing it for a long time or because something costs a lot of money?? Because lets face it, if someone will cheat at something as meaningless as a video game, then there is little
doubt they will be as underhanded and unethical at most any other aspect of their life when it actually means something.

Longevity and/or expense does not equate acceptance, morality or ethicalness and it certainly doesn't turn a "wrong" into a "right".

Remember, you spend thousands of dollars on a car and yet you are still told how you have to drive it.

 

After all these years, I'm still wondering where all the Cheats are at?

 

I just bought this game for my 9 year old grandson, and I'm just looking to find ways for him to be able to play the game without calling on grandpa to try to figure out where he's supposed to go next. So if anyone could give me some help I'd be eternally
grateful. He has no problems with Grand Auto Theft v4. If I could get at least the moves for the 1str level that would be awesome. If anyone can help please send it via email to [Mod removed]

Let's stamp out smoking and religion at the same time. It's not going to happen, we just need to live with it.

 

the sad part of all this is ms and yes some parents and roll models are teaching and enabling kids to cheat. to say it stops there-time will tell but some will say thats okay until the cheater imposes their unethical behavior on them through theft, violence
or worse. society does draw a line but not soon enough. there is and can be technology to deal with cheating in gaming and profitable so why not do something about it. at least give gamers a match making choice to be selective about who they care to play with
by opting not to play with cheaters and let the cheaters cheat each other all day long. no imposition of values just dont force me to play with cheaters. let us all play in the groups we chose. so we dont have to accept cheating and cheaters dont have to
stop. just stay out of my space. what are we teaching our kids and wonder why...
